Britney Spears has been making headlines for her unpredictable performances at the MTV Video Music Awards for years. Everyone was geared up to see Britney’s much-anticipated comeback during last year’s 2007 video awards. And with Britney opening the show, fans of the former pop princess were expecting a traditional Spears performance with all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately, the timing seemed a little premature and the Brit-Brit we all once knew and loved wasn’t ready to make an appearance onstage. Instead, a poor performance of bad lip syncing and stiff dancing moves made Brit’s supposed comeback performance painful to watch.

The Infamous Britney/Madonna Kiss
There isn’t a single soul anywhere around the globe that hasn’t heard of the infamous moment on stage when Britney Spears and Madonna locked lips. The 2003 MTV Video Awards went down in music history as two of the most-talked about female singers of all time swapped saliva in front of millions of stunned fans. To this day, the Britney/Madonna kiss remains the most popular moment in MTV history.

According to the host of this year’s show, Richard Brand, Britney will be “doing something so mind-bending, it'll probably make you want to start families with each other in a random, possibly Mormon, way." Sounds interesting to say the least.

You know it's a slow week in entertainment when Jillian Grace photos and David Spade becoming a daddy are making headlines. With all the controversy surrounding Sarah Palin and her baby mama drama scandal, you'd think David Spade and Jillian Grace would be off the radar. You'd think so, but you'd be wrong.
Everyone wants to know about Jillian Grace, the woman who recently gave birth to David Spde's first daughter - or so she claims. When the 22-year-old Playmate first claimed that Spade was the father of her unborn baby, many believed she was lying. But, after David opened up about his sexual relationship with the beautiful blonde, it seemed as though Jillian's dreams of cashing in on David's bountiful bank balance might actually be coming true.
 
Nine months later and the little bundle of joy arrived. But don't think for a second that David and Jillian are back together. "David and Jillian have been in close contact throughout her pregnancy and he plans to go see the baby during his first break from shooting Rules of Engagement," David's spokesperson said in a statement.
Nice of David to squeeze his new daughter into his very hectic schedule. Bet he won't be winning any father of the year awards anytime soon.

We’re pretty sure that when Lily Allen and Elton John were asked to host the annual GQ Men of the Awards the coordinators weren’t planning on a catfight happening on stage. But with little Miss Allen and the notorious Queen Bee, what else can you really expect.
 It seemed as though Elton was opting for the high road as his sidekick boozed on champagne the entire night (even while recipients we) but the bubble popping princess slammed back a few too many, and ended up upsetting Sir Elton John.
After hours of watching her knock back the bubbly, Elton looked as though he’d run out of patience. And when Lily announced that they had reached a very special point in the evening, the legendary musician called her out by saying “What are you gonna have another drink?“
Lily, never one to back down, snapped back with “F*ck off, Elton. You know what, I am 40 years younger than you, I’ve got my whole life ahead of me.”
“I could still snort you under the table,” Elton shockingly replied, inadvertently referring to Miss Allen’s alleged friendship with cocaine.
Lily then gave Elton an incredibly dirty look and ended the conversation with “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Of course you know Lily, as does the whole world.
Grow up and start taking responsibility as a role model. God forbid the children that look up to you actually end up like you.
The last thing this world needs is more Lily Allens.

US Weekly Magazine has drifted away from its typical Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie Hollywood headlines and is taking a political stance in this week’s edition – and the controversial cover is taking the tabloid world by storm.
US Magazine publisher Jann Wenner has no problem planting the face of McCain’s pick, Sarah Palin on the front cover of this week’s issue, with controversial headlines like “Babies, Lies and Scandals.”
The new issue, hitting newsstands Wednesday, is slamming the Alaskan Governor for everything from her racy past to the pregnancy of her 17-year-old daughter.
 
Sarah has been making headlines since McCain announced her as his pick for VP last week but it seems like the scandalous 44-year-old mother of five has more skeletons in her closet than Eliot Spitzer.
College photos of Palin wearing a t-shirt with the words “I may be broke but I’m not flat busted” (seen above) seem to indicate she’s better fit for a strip club than a presidential campaign.

Tonight is the night Beverly Hills 90210 fans have been anxiously awaiting for years. The 2 hour return of one the hottest shows from the ‘90s is scheduled to air and is expected to take fans by storm.
But with no pre-screening (not even for critics), many dedicated fans are wondering whether they’re setting themselves up for disappointment.

But with popular former cast members like Jenny Garth and Shannon Doherty returning to primetime, it seems like CW has another recipe for success. But can they pull it off?

Josh Hartnett may be the latest celebrity taking the lead role in their very own sex tape scandal, but showing the world what’s underneath his clothes was never his intention...honestly.
While many wannabe celebs waste no time partaking in scandalous videos to get their names on the Hollywood radar, Josh Hartnett has never been that desperate for attention – and nothing has changed.
 The supposed sex tape is not your typical under the sheets romp in an upscale penthouse suite; that would be too cliché for Josh.
Instead, the “30 Days of Night” actor escorted his lady friend into a secluded library inside their hotel. But despite their best efforts to keep their rendezvous under wraps, the hotel security cameras cover every inch of the premise, including the library.
“Josh and the girl were getting pretty hot and heavy,” said the source who watched to actor’s actions on the hotel’s monitor.
Could they not have waited until they made it to their room?
And we thought Josh was too innocent to get with Rihanna. Boy, were we wrong.

Actor David Duchovny has officially entered rehab and is seeking help to overcome his problem with sex addiction. The 48-year-old father of two has been married to actress Tea Leoni since 1997 and has been struggling with his addiction privately for a while.
David released the following statement late yesterday evening:
"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."
 
There has been no indication that the two-time Golden Globe winner has cheated on his wife.
Duchovny is best known for his role as FBI special agent Mulder on The X-Files.
His wife, Leoni, has not yet released a statement regarding her husband’s current problem but it is believed that she’s fully supporting him as he seeks treatment.
Hopefully David will get the help he needs. And hopefully his career doesn’t tank afterwards.

That same year, racy photos of the couple vacationing (naked) were leaked on the Internet, breaking the heart of Nick's former love, Jess.
Vanessa also spoke with PEOPLE recently, revealing that Nick told her “I love you” first. Rumors that Nick and Vanessa are heading to the alter have been circulating for months but will Nick’s ex-wife tie the knot before he can seal the deal with Vanessa?
Only time will tell.

Nicollette Sheridan won’t be a desperate housewife anytime in the near future. In fact, she won’t even be a housewife at all.
The Desperate Housewives star and her fiancé (or should we say ex-fiance) have officially ended their engagement and have mutually agreed to go their separate ways.
"Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their engagement," a rep for the couple revealed yesterday. "They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter."
But Nicollete and Michael have been anything but private with their relationship. Photos of the couple kissing and making out in public have been circulating the Internet faster than any other Tinsel Town couple in years (see photos below).
  
And this isn’t the first breakup for the dynamic duo. Their relationship began a whopping 16 years ago (in 1992) and has been on and off ever since.
When Sheridan and Bolton began dating in 1992, the spark lasted an impressive 5 years (that’s like 35 years in Hollywood time!). Then, after calling it quits for nearly eight years, the couple reunited in 2005 to try and reignite the spark.
In 2006 the happy couple announced their engagement and appeared to be happily planning a wedding for the past year and a half.
Unfortunately, this couple – along with most Hollywood couples – didn’t have the staying power required to make it to the alter.
Perhaps they’ll reunite again in another eight years.

Today is the day Dancing with the Stars fans have anxiously been waiting for all summer long. The new contestants for the fall have officially been announced and promise to deliver an action-packed season.
 Some surprising contenders vying for the title this year include Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian who, despite cutting her foot on a piece of glass this weekend, insists she’ll be in the starting lineup.
Other D-List celebs kicking off the new season include former NSync member Lance Bass, the oldest DWTS contestant ever, actress Cloris Leachman, 82, and Hannah Montana star Cody Linley.
And the season just wouldn’t be the same without a few athletes thrown into the mix. This year, fans will watch ex-Tampa Bay defensive star Warren Sap and Olympic medalists Misty May-Treanor (beach volleyball) and Maurice Greene (sprinting).
These contestants, combined with soap opera star Susan Lucci and TV chef Rocco DiSpirito are sure to make for an intriguing new season.

Jessica Simpson is firing back at her arch rival Carrie Underwood for claiming that her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys' quarter back Tony Romo still calls her.
The American Idol winner recently revealed that her ex-QB boyfriend still tries to contact her, although she refuses to take his calls.
“The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer," Carrie claims in the September issue of Allure.
 
But Jess was quick to put out the fire.
“Tony and I both laughed at that," Simpson explained during a radio show interview. “I know it’s not [true].
“No, definitely: I looked at his call log. If Tony wanted to call her or be with her, he would,” she finishes.
And that’s not the only thing Jess is putting to rest. When asked whether her “Real Girls Eat Meat T-Shirt” was meant as an insult to her openly vegetarian/country rival, Jess played it cool. “I thought it was funny,” the 27-year-old singer claims.

Yesterday was a big day for news in Hollywood. Not only did Matt Damon and his wife Luciana announce the birth of their second child but Matt’s best friend Ben Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner also announced they were expecting their second child.
We’re not sure whether each couple knew of the others’ news when they released their statements but it’s a little ironic that Hollywood’s hottest bromance both had big news to share on the same day.
“Matt and Luciana had a baby girl named Gia Zavala on Wednesday August 20th. Everyone’s doing great,” Damons rep revealed to PEOPLE.
 
Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner finally spilled the beans on her pregnancy and how excited she and Ben are for their new arrival.
“We're so excited, obviously," Garner told Access Hollywood.
And so are we! More baby news just means more excitement to look forward to in the upcoming year.

Christina Applegate stayed strong in front of the camera as she opened up to Good Morning America interviewer Robin Roberts about her struggle with breast cancer but the 36-year-old actress couldn’t manage to hold back her tears when the cameras stopped rolling.
 The courageous actress, who was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, recently had a double mastectomy – even though the cancer was only detected in one breast.
The Samantha Who star has been vigilant in booking regular mammogram appointments, as her mother has been struggling with breast cancer for years and was worried she may have passed the gene onto her daughter.
Unfortunately, she did pass the gene onto Applegate, who admits she was “pissed off” when she was given the results of her tests.
Despite what some reports may say, Christina did not undergo chemotherapy or radiation after her diagnosis. 3 weeks ago Applegate had the double mastectomy surgery.
"I didn't want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything”, she reveals to Roberts.
“I just wanted to kind of be rid of this whole thing for me. This was the choice that I made, and it was a tough one."
And while the strong-willed actress will spend a significant amount of time over the next eight months undergoing reconstructive surgery, her sense of humor is still intact.
“You know, I’m gonna have cute boobs until I’m 90,” Christina jokes.
“I’m gonna have the best boobs in the nursing home. I’m going to be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table.”
And this isn’t the only struggle Christina has been dealing with over the past few months. The blonde beauty was devastated after hearing news that her ex-boyfriend, Lee Grivas, was found dead in his Hollywood apartment.
But the brave actress isn’t going let anything hold her back. Not only is she determined to overcome anything that happens in her life, she’s also starting a program to help high-risk, underprivileged women who can’t afford the proper tests to screen for breast cancer.
Christina is an idol in our eyes. We wish her only the best in the future.

It’s the day The Hills fans have been waiting for since Lauren, Lo, Audrina, Spencer and Heidi left us on the edge of our seats a few months ago. Tonight at 10 o’clock the new season of the hit MTV series will kick off and is expected to be the most dramatic one yet.
The trailer for Season 4 shows the girls falling in love, fighting and falling out of love as they continue to reach for their dreams in the Hollywood Hills.
So what can viewers expect from the new set of episodes.
From what we've heard, Lauren and Audrina continue to drift apart as Lauren becomes closer and closer with her best friend Lo. Meanwhile Heidi and Spencer bicker over whether to let Heidi’s sister move in with them. Lauren continues to pursue a friendship with Spencer's sister, who appears to start dating one of LC's exes at some point this season while Spencer and Heidi struggle to find a social cirlce.
These conflicts, combined with an Audrina/Justin-Bobbi breakup, new hook-ups for all the girls and bad boy Brody Jenner's visit to the slammer are sure to make for an action-packed Season 4.
But will fans enjoy the new season as much as the previous ones? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
