Britney Spears, who has recently tried to step out of the limelight, made a surprise appearance at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards. Britney, who is 8 months along, appeared in a super-short baby-doll dress that showed off her pregnant figure. The popstar sported long, dark locks and light makeup. She looked very put-together and actually kind of cute. Her surprise appearance was in honor of her husbands world premiere performance, which landed mixed opinions by ciritcs.

Over the past few years, Britney has undergone enormous amounts of scrutiny from the press,  other celebrities and the public in general. Many magazines have reported Britney as having severe weight problems, calling her fat and ugly and an unfit mother.

Britney's recent photoshoot for the August edition of Bazaar magazine features a nude Spears, looking very happy. She is one of few celebrities who have handled the negative press with such class. She doesn't let the paparazzi get to her. She tells her side of the story and allows people to choose whether or not they agree. She doesn't expect everyone to agree with the way she looks, but she doesn't expect to be treated differently (or horribly) because of the way she chooses to live her life.

Her appearance at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards only reiterated the fact that Britney Spears will persevere through anything. As for those of you who say she'll never look as good as she did before she married Kevin Federline and started having children - She's been pregnant for the past few years. She had Sean for like 9 months and became pregant with another child - of course she's going to look different! Anyone who has been through pregnancy (and even those who haven't) should understand that the body changes and you aren't going to look 100 percent perfect all the time. Give her a break - she's just trying to live her life and be a good mom. Even now she's prettier than the majority of the population!
