3 Tips for Looking Beautiful on a Budget

It's easy to look good when you have all the resources like stylists, makeup artists, wardrobe professionals and hair dressers but what about the people who can't afford these resources. It's difficult to maintain a beautiful and sexy image when you don't have hours to waste or money to throw away. Don't worry, I'm here to help. There are many things you can do that will make getting ready everyday easier. Follow these 3 simple rules and you'll look fabulous everyday - and save a fortune on stylists and products.

1. Mix and Match Your Wardrobe Pieces - You've probably spent over thousands of dollars on your wardrobe, so it's time to start maximizing your assets. Pairing two different shirts together will give you a stylish layered look (which is very in this season) and will make all of your outfits look truly unique. Hats, scarves and other accessories can really make a difference in your overll look as well. So instead of wearing a simple pair of pants and shirt, wear two shirts, pants, a scarf and some bangles. Trust me, you'll appreciate the stylish look it provides.

2. Redesign your Older Clothes - Do you have a pair of jeans in your closet that you used to love but the style is out so they just sit around collecting dust? We've all been there, but there are some great ways to revive your old pieces. First of all, you can update a pair of jeans by simply making a few man-made holes in the upper thighs or knees. This can be done two ways - you can either use a cheese grater or a potatoe peeler (either one will work great). Basically, you just run the utensil up and down your jeans like you would cheese or a potatoe. Afterwards, you'll have a stylish pair of jeans you already know you love. Likewise, patches, logos and othe rcreative features can also be sewn onto a pair of jeans to give them a more updated look.

3. Make your Own Makeup - I'm guessing some of you have heard of this but for those of you who haven't - pay attention. Not only will you look gorgeous but you're about to save a lot of money! The key ingredient to making your own makeup is Vaseline. So buy a big container of it. Now you can either use eye shadow or food dye (or try both and see what you prefer). Take the Vaseline and put it into an old lip balm container (or go to the store and buy some of the cylindrical ones). Mix your choice color of eyeshadow (or food coloring) in with the Vaseline. You once its mixed, put the lid on and store as you would any other makeup. Your new makeup can act as liquid eye shadow, lip gloss or even liquid blush (depending on the color you choose).
