This year’s biggest and most elaborate wedding took place in Italy on Saturday and TomKat have officially become one of Hollywood’s hottest married couples. While the news of the Italian wedding was no surprise to anyone (paparazzi have been waiting there for weeks), the surprisingly large guest list was a little overwhelming. Some of Tinsel Town’s most popular faces were in attendance including Victoria and David Beckham, Jlo and Marc Anthony, Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey, Brooke Shields and Husband Chris Henchy and Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith. These, among other celebrities, all joined together to celebrate with the happy couple.

Katie, 27, looked gorgeous in a white, off the shoulder Giorgio Armani gown while her very excited groom matched in an Armani shirt and tux. Their stunning rings were made by Cartier and glowed on the fingers of the newlyweds.

So where are they headed for their luxurious honeymoon? Tom, 44, wanted to surprise Katie by whisking her away to the Maldives for a lavish vacation where they can hopefully enjoy some much deserved privacy and relaxation.

Reports say the newlyweds enjoyed a 3 minute wedding kiss which lasted so long guests actually started yelling at the pair, urging them to get a room. The elaborate wedding reportedly cost the couple over $2.5 million.

What most people didn’t know, including paparazzi who were swarming the Italian castle, is that Tom and Katie secretly married in a civil ceremony in Los Angeles before their trip to Italy. Although the two were already officially married, the wedding in Italy allowed them to say their “I do’s” in front of all their friends and family. Sounds like a pretty spectacular wedding if you ask me.
