Julia Roberts, who has held the title consecutively for the past 5 years has taken a well-deserved break from the Hollywood scene to raise her children and spend time with her family. Nicole, however, has a different plan in mind. While Nicole's husband, Keith Urban, is battling a chronic drug addiction, she has been focused on advancing her career in Hollywood.

Nicole's fee per film falls just short of the 20 million dollar mark, still considerably less than the highest paid male actors in Hollywood (her former husband, Tom Cruise, gets about 25 million per film). Nonetheless, Nicole has made a great name for herself in Hollywood, being a part of some of the most talked about movies in history including "The Interpreter" and "Cold Mountain." Nicole has also been busy shooting 3 movies set to release in the next few years.
