Lindsay Lohan, one of the most over-publicized 20 year olds in the world, has generated media attention yet again. The "Mean Girls" star admits to attending AA for the past year but says she doesn't drink when she goes to bars, she is simply using the program as a balancing tool in her life. Lohan, who has attracted more attention in the last 5 years than most celebrities do in a lifetime, claims she hates being called a party girl and feels as though it's an inaccurate depiction of her life.

Lindsay goes on to talk about how she works every single day to make a living for herself. She says "I don't want to be written about at these clubs with these people" possibly referring to her on again/off-again best friend Paris Hilton.
Lindsay's reason for not telling the public about her AA meetings was simply "Well it's nobody's business,. That's why it's anonymous." In Lindsay's interviw with People Magazine, the star offered her own advice to others looking to fight sobriety.
Whether Lindsay is truly using AA as a balancing act in her life (to make herself more aware of the benefits of sobriety) or the star is using her addiction to generate buzz remains unknown. From what we've heard (and seen) of the young star over the past few years, there's no denying that her addiction may actually be a reality.
