Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton are two of America's most talked about celebrities. The two blondes have taken a lot flack in the past few years and have been dubbed as two of Hollywood's dumbest blondes. While some of the things they say and do sometimes may not be the most intelligent, I hardly think that Joan Rivers is someone to comment on the intelligence of these two young stars.

I'm not sure if any of you remember Joan Rivers (she had a talkshow years back and used to host some of the awards shows with her daughter Melissa until she was fired for being too mean) but she has recently written statements about Paris and Jessica that are overly offensive and simply untrue. When addressing questions about where all the smart girls have gone, Rivers writes "that's a hard question to answer in an age where Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton pass as intellectuals."

Joan goes on to say that the two need to look into their husband's pockets because they don't have any money of their own. The former talk show host ends by telling the two "go through your husbands wallets and give everything in it." Rivers was writing to her university alumni in hopes of receiving donations for her sorority.

So here's my take on the whole situation - first of all, where does Joan Rivers get off saying that Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton aren't intellectuals? The woman has so much plastic surgery that 98% of her body isn't even human anymore - I hardly think she's one to talk.

Furthermore, if she did her research before writing these statements she would know that Paris Hilton has designed  her own line of jewelry and accessories, launched her own nightclub chain, has modeled, acted and recently released a suprisingly successful pop album. Jessica has had an extremely successful music career, has acted and has released her own lines of clothing and beauty products.

Oh and one more thing - when you write something to someone that states "go through your husbands wallets and give everything in it" make sure the women you are directing the statement towards are actually married - Paris has never been married and Jessica Simpson's divorce is ancient history. Who's the smart one now?
