I thought it was Rosie promoting her show. Seems she has been in the news just about every night this week. She also initiated the attackes on Donald.

How about the negative impacts that "The View" will receive, in consequence of Rosie's actions. You flirt with the idea of Donald Trump trying to promote his show, yet don't mention the fact that Rosie started the whole damn thing with unprovoked and unecessary insulting comments towards Trump. If anything, he could manipulate the situation to his benefit and promote his show, but to suggest that the war of words with Rosie is anything but just that, is ridiculous. He can't control the actions of other people, whether it's Miss USA going out to clubs and kissing other woman, or Rosie doing impressions of him in front of a national audience, he doesn't MAKE them do these things, and so what if he receives publicity from them, he's should do what any good businessman will do, and thats to take advantage of an opportunity.

I wouldn't mind if they both fell down a well but I do think Rosie's making a more coherent argument. Donald Trump is no moral authority, he's behaved like an utter ass his entire adult life and the idea that he is helping to guide Tara Connor away from the evils of the party lifestyle is ridiculous. Trump's responses have been nothing but personal attacks, mostly based on her weight, which is pathetic and stupid.

But, again, they can both go hang for all I care. And The Apprentice is an awful show if only for the fact that it features his sourpuss mug the entire time. The guy looks like he sucks lemons all day long.

Who care they are both idoits. Donald Trump is a huge moron. He thinks he's Mr. Business and gets incredibly offended when some says his name and bankrupt. Several of his companies went under. In fact he would have totally been over with if it wasn't for his dad's fortune to bail him out. Donald Trump is more an entertainer than a smart business man. He is no Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Michael Dell, or Steve Jobs. Though he like to think of himself has their equals.

I think Rosie made an interesting comment.  No Tara Conner should not be out drinking with her crown.  But, Donald CERTAINLY is NOT the moral compass.  Donald took this too far by calling her fat and ugly and telling people he will send a friend over to get Rosie's partner.  What the hell, Donald?  Are you crazy??  How's your marriage???  He's an idiot!  And, let me tell you Donald...you are no Fabio yourself.  LOL!  You are, quite possibly, one of the ugliest men I have ever seen.  Cut your hair!

Both of them have big mouths and big egos. Yes, Rosie started it by her statements about him. Just like his negative comments about Angelina Jolie and Martha Stewart.  He can dish it, but when someone says something negative about him he acts like a child with his ....I'm a billionaire and she is a unattractive, fat slob, loser etc.... I'll send someone to take her girlfriend. What she said is the truth. He knows it and he sounds so pathetic and defensive  The world is seeing who he really is and a lawsuit will only bring out more. I doubt he is looking forward to a lawsuit as he has stated.....he knows what will happen. You may still be a billionaire (which you think makes you so important) Mr. Trump, but I think you just lost any respect you had. You look like a complete idiot.

It seems as though the consenses lies in the fact that it was Rosie O'Donnell's poor attempt at promoting...

No man who has been raised right by his mom and dad would not publicly insult a woman, regardless of what she said about him.  To attack her in such a horrible, personal fashion, talking about her looks and weight, shows a spoiled brat whose mom and dad failed in teaching him the rules of being a decent human being and a gentleman.

I think this is just another example of Rosie's use of outrageously innapproriate conduct, and her apparent dismissal of it's consequences, to promote the her own "butch" self-image she seems to have created through the issues with her magazine, her lawsuits with her employees, and her so called "apology" to the entire Asian community - constituting less of an apology and more of a statement that she would do it again, because thats who she is.

Trump has a right protect his interests as a businessman - I think if what Rosie's said is really untrue, and damages his business, than I think she should be sued. She's not a stranger to the courtroom anyway. And as for this article's ridiculous assumption that Trump is using the arguments to promote the Apprentice, I would have hoped that you would write something you bothered to research. There's been no mention of the Apprentice - if anything, this ploy is just a thinly veiled attempt to draw attention to the view in the hopes that we might one day have the benefit of watching a bitter, overweight old has been finally get what she deserves.

Rosie O'Donnell isn't funny. She wasn't funny when she was a fat new yorker doing standup, and she isn't funny or informative on the view - she's an ignorant loudmouth who promotes social dribble like Dora the Explorer to mask that fact that she's a bitter hag. Her publicists hope that one day we'll be able to appreciate her sense of humor - I hope that one day she'll realize she's better off trying to locate whatever pod of angry beluga whales abandoned her at an early age.

Rosie O'Donnell is rude.  She attacks Kellly, "outs" Clay Aiken, makes personal remarks about Donald Trump's marraiges, and generally irritates the hell out of people. Why doesn't she mind her own business.  I am no fan of Donald Trump's, but Rosie is way over the line.  I watch THE VIEW to be entertained, not to witness somebody instigate an argument.   I can't imagine why Barbara Walters thought Rosie O'Donnell would be a better co-host than Starr Jones.  Rosie needs a "chill pill."  I honestly don't blame Donald Trump for responding.  After all, she engaged him.  What did she expect?

Donald Trump is an egomaniac.  Anyone that thinks this man should be looked up to is in serious need of mental health attention.

I was stunned by the cruelty and harshness of the comments made by Donald Trump.  He went way overboard and showed his true colors.  I will no longer watch the Apprentice because of it...

I thought Rosie's comments were actually funny and on target.  Trump has a horrible hx. with treating women like objects.  But Trump's comments have been so mean spirited.  It seems he mostly was offended by the dig about him going bankrupt.  In the end he is the one who comes out looking the worst.  He looks like a egomaniac and certainly no gentleman.  And about his suitableness to be a moral compass...If I were Tara, I would feel queesy about his off color comments about her appeal to Rosie.  What's that old saying...don't get into a pissing contest with a skunk.

Please! Trump?  nothing to like about the man except perhaps his money.  And fortunately for me, I have never been impressed by the size of a mans wallet.  I have to question why Rosie is being accused of instigating the exchanges with Trump.  He is a public figure who willingly thrusts himself into the public eye and into our living rooms regularly.  Of course he is fair game for the entertainers and comedians of the world to make remarks in response.  For him to expect anything else is unrealistic.  So many other public figures have their worlds scrutinized and held under the microscope and are sometimes the object of unwanted jokes and comments by comedians, entertainers, tabloids...  Why does Trump feel he should be exempt?  He should have done what the vast majority of other people do, and ignore the comments, shrug it off, and get back to business.  But instead he declares that it will be fun to sue Rosie?  He sounds totally ridiculous and infantile, and I for one am tired of him repeating "I have billions of dollars".  Who cares, except for the people who want your money in their pockets perhaps.  Doubtful that anyone cares much for Trump the person, he seems vile and mean, and sorely lacking the intelligence that he accuses everyone else of lacking.  I bet he is actually a very lonely man.  I too would be insecure if I thought that without money, all my companions and friends would flee.

Personally, I just think that Rosie was a very, very bad choice for The View.  In their attempt to rush and find someone to replace "Star Jones" after they decided to fired her.  Clearly somebody did not do their homework.  Now they got this monster on their hands.  She is said to be bringing them rating, but what type of people are really watching this show now that she's on it.  Ricki Lake rejects?  She is bringing that show to an all-time low.  I really can't see The View lasting more than  another 24 months tops.  That whole show right now is a "hot mess"

Rosie makes me long for the good old days of Starr Jones (oops, Reynolds).

I would rather listen to every last little detail of Starr's wedding, travel, life, or anything else she wants to talk about than listen to Rosie O'donnell.

If someone wishes to help somone it should be done discretely.  Trump was looking for a medal for giving Miss USA a "second chance".  He did this by holding a press conference, totally humilating the poor girl and her family in such a public forum.  His objective was free publicity for himself at the expense of that poor girl.

Rosie's comments regarding Trump and this incident was exactly what was on many viewers minds. What gave Trump the right to publically judge and humiliate this girl.  If he truly wanted to give her a second chance, he would have handled the situation privately.

Donald's reaction and behavior after Rosie's comments on the view have demonstrated to the world his true colors.  Money cannot buy class and dignity!!!!  

Donald can only deal with woman who are willing to behave subserviant to him.  Intelligent and strong-willed woman are a threat to his dominating nature.  He proved this by firing Caroline!!!!!

Every male talk-show host have commented on Trump's hair and joked about it.  Trumps only public reaction was to laugh about it too!!!!    He wouldn't dare pull with another man (Letterman, O'Brien, Leno, etc.), the tirades he is pulling with Rosie!!!

Trump's contined behavior demonstates his immaturing, lack of class, his total disrespect for successful woman,   childish and deeprooted emotional problems.  Now he is even using his wife and daughter to come to his defense.

I have had several surgeries in the past few years so have watched a lot of TV.  Rosie has totally revitalized the view.  I don't agree with her most of the time, but I love her good heart and spunk.  Donald Trump has met his match I think.  He has set himself up as some sort of God of sorts and thinks he is infallible...........big news flash Donald, you do indeed look like a "poor pathetic man" as Barbara Walters said today!  Donald indeed is looking pathetic.  He must be sad because the Apprentice is awful with sour puss Ivanka!
