The 49th Annual Grammy Awards last night were a huge success and the red carpet fashion was full of surprises, like always. The Grammy Awards honor the best of the best in the music industry but we honor the best of the best in fashion. From Christina Aguilera and Carrie Underwood to Beyonce and Vanessa Minnillo, the red carpet was glittering in metallic gold, silver and pink – from start to finish.
Here are Think Fashion’s picks for the top 5 best dressed women of the night:

Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood was absolutely stunning from head to toe. This floor length metallic light silver gown with spaghetti straps was by far the best look of the night. Carrie completes the look with large, silver chandelier earrings and silver jewelry. Her hair looked amazing, with her signature long layers and flirty feminine look. Carrie steals the award for best dressed of the evening.

Vanessa Minnillo
Vanessa Minnillo is quickly becoming a style icon of her time. Her always flirty look was played up last night in a metallic silver number that fell just above the knee. Vanessa was head to toe in glitter and she definitely sparkled on the red carpet.

Beyonce
Beyonce helped make the red carpet a metallic haven this year. Most of the best dressed women opted for metallic colors and Beyonce was no exception. Her metallic cream, floor knee-length dress with a lapel neckline looked elegant and fun. The diamond detailing right in between the breast and again on the stomach made Beyonce one of the sexiest stars on the red carpet.
Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera has made the worst dressed list a number of times throughout her career – but not this time. Christina sparkled in a white, floor length dress with purple detailing. Christina’s Emanuel Ungaro dress featured a large, taupe empire which completed her modern, but very sexy, look.

Corrine Bailey Rae
Corrine Bailey Rae was one of few women on the red carpet to opt for a classic black look. This figure-flattering, knee-length cocktail dress with sparkles was a very modern look for Corrine’s walk down the red carpet. Black shoes and little jewelry added elegance to her simply classic appearance.
This year, the red carpet was filled with impeccably dressed men and women. Honorable mentions go to Natasha Beddingfield, Petra Nemcova, Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Hudson. Also, check out our picks for worst dressed on the red carpet.
