Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, is speaking out after the pop princess checked into rehab for the third time this week saying, " We've got a sick little girl- we're just trying to take care of her."

Controversy has arose over Britney's repeated rehab visits and abrupt departures. The latest news reports the singer checked into California's Promises Malibu Treatment Center on Tuesday, but left early on Wednesday morning only to check in again later that same day.

The 25 year old was seen visiting a Los Angeles lawyer on Wednesday after reports were released that her estranged husband, Kevin Federline, had requested an emergency custody hearing over their two children.

Later that day, Britney showed up at Kevin's home, only to be refused entry. Apparently, she was trying to see her children, both of whom have been in their father's care for the past week.

Witnesses later claimed that they saw the troubled star attack a photographer with an umbrella.

It seems that Federline may try to use the star's troubling behavior to claim full custody of their two sons, Sean Preston, 17 months, and Jayden James, five months.
