Rumours have been circulating for weeks that Beyonce and her rap star boyfriend Jay-Z have split up and a source close to Jay-Z is confirming the break up.
In an interview with MediaTakeOut.com, the source, who wishes to remain anonymous, claims that the large age gap between Jay-Z and the 13 years younger Beyonce is contributing to their choice to part ways.
The insider told the website that "Jay-Z's not 25 - he's been ready to settle down and have a family for a while now. But Beyonce was asking for more time."
Reportedly, Beyonce's parents are happy with the decision and that they are completely against her getting married at this stage of her life. The source claims that they felt Jay-Z was getting too serious for her.
So it appears that the five year relationship is over - for now. Sources close to the singing duo state that they are still good friends and that they still love each other; maybe a reconcilliation will take place in the future.
