Victoria Beckham has made history in Europe as the former member of the "girl power" band "The Spice Girls" and is about to embark on a whole new adventure in the United States. The fashionable wife of David Beckham, one of the world's best soccer players, recently announced her acceptance to an NBC reality TV deal which will document her move from Europe to the United States.

"I am so excited to be making this show for NBC with Simon Fuller. He has so much success around the world with his TV shows and the respect and trust of everybody he works with" says Victoria. Simon Fuller told London's Daily Mail that America has been waiting for a reality show featuring Victoria Beckham but that he had to wait for the right deal. With her husband recently accepting a 250 million dollar deal with LA Galaxy and the Becks moving to America, this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

The deal was made solely with Victoria Beckham and not her husband. As a result, it seems as though we will be seeing very little of David and their children in the show. None the less, there's no doubt in my mind that we will be seeing our fair share of David Beckham in the coming year as well.

So here's my take on the story:

I was quite surprised to hear that Victoria accepted this deal and was quite disappointed when I first heard it. After all, we've seen what happens to couples and families that partake in reality TV right? But once I heard that Victoria signed the contract exclusively and has no plans of involving David or their children I didn't think it was so bad. In fact, once I had time to think about it, I realized it's better that she's decided to do something with her life as opposed to being the wife of a millionaire who shops all day and goes to the salon at night - yes there are some out there.

Hopefully everything will work out well for Posh and Becks in the coming year.
