Britney Spears - Will She Still Make her Comeback?

It wasn't too long ago that Britney Spears insisted that she would be making a comeback in 2007. Her New Year's resolution was to take better care of herself and she personally told her fans on her website that she would be making a new album and a big comeback this year. After hearing the determination in the 25 year old's voice, many began to believe that it was possible for the former pop princess to climb back to the top of the charts. But in what seems like a surprising turn of events, Britney has lost control over the past month constantly entering and exiting rehab, drinking and partying 'til all hours of the night and shaving her head completely bald.

Many news sources are saying that Britney has been experiencing a mental breakdown. Others are claiming that Spears has gone crazy and some have even implied suicide. With everything that has happened to Britney over the past few months, the last thing she needs is to hear news stories exaggerating the events in her life and making her out to look like a complete nut.

So here's my chance to defend Britney. First of all, there are many celebrities that have entered and exited rehab consistently. Lindsay Lohan is just one of these celebrities and although news sources have also bashed Lindsay, they have never called her completely crazy. When Britney shaved her head it seemed to be the tipping point for media sources to do what they wanted with the story. Printing stories claiming that Britney tried to commit suicide in and out of rehab and stating that Britney was on suicide alert. Not only are these stories false but even if they were true, there's no reason to mock Britney or make the story any bigger than it needed to be. Clearly she is in a fragile state and these stories could really damage her and make things worse for her than they need to be.

Britney entered rehab, she is clearly trying to make things better in her life. She is trying to take the appropriate steps to make her life better for both herself and her family. So here's what I have to say to the news sources printing false information about Britney - you wouldn't do it to someone in your family if they were going through a hard time so what makes it okay to do it to Britney? It's one thing to print stories as they happen but it's a completely different issue when you start exaggerating stories and making up false information. She is just trying to live her life. Millions of people all over the world have admitted to substance abuse and we don't judge them. So let's give Britney a well deserved break from the negative attention and focus on her career comeback. And as for the question 'Will Britney Still Make her Comeback", I have one answer - absolutely. Look at Mariah Carey. Everyone basically gave up on her after her mental breakdown but she came back stronger than ever. So will Britney, because Britney's got fire. And fire like that cannot easily be put out.

Very well written and unbiased, which is rare when it comes to current journalists about Britney Spears.  I might not agree with some of her antics as of late, but I think as long as she pulls it out for the 45 days in rehab and gets better she can make an incredible comeback this fall.

I completely agree!

The constant scrutiny and criticism of the media make a sad situation even worse. I am fed up with everybody bashing on Britney like a punching bag. Clearly she's made mistakes, but the woman is in the worst mental shape. It is NOT OKAY to kick somebody when they're down. Only cowards do that.

A talentless hack finally got what a talentless hack deserved. This money says there won't be a comeback. She will become the Michael Jackson of teen-pop.
