Sanjaya Malakar - Booed by Crowd at Baseball Game

"American Idol" contestant, Sanjaya Malakar, may want to call up Britney Spears and ask her how she dealt with being booed by fans at a sporting event. According to recent news reports, the 17 year old boy was booed in front of thousands of people when his face appeared on the big screen at a recent Dodgers baseball game. Witnesses claim that Sanjaya "was just sitting there having a good time with his friends, just like a regular person. And when the Dodger camera noticed him, the cameraperson ran over and taped him". The eye witness continues by saying "Sanjaya's face pops up on the big screen right away. At first he smiled, he seemed to like the attention. But then the entire crowd at the stadium started to boo and it was loud! His smile faded a bit and his eyes looked sad".

Sanjaya is American Idol's most controversial contestant to ever make the final 7 and is loved by millions of fans all over the world. Unfortunately for the boy from Federal Way, Washington, those fans were not present in the Dodgers stadium in LA. Regardless, Sanjaya has enough people supporting him to make the final 7. The question now is, can he make the final 6?

Sanjaya will perform tonight on American Idol and his fate will be determined tomorrow night. Do you think Sanjaya will make the final 6?

very unfortunate to be booed in public of a talented singer - mainly because of prejudice.  Sorry to hear that

What a travesty!

This kid didn't ask for this!

He is just some kid who would like to become a singer and entered a contest.

While he is not my favorite contestant to win, booing him just goes to show the insensitivy of people.

I thinbk I would die if my picture came up in a game and people booed!

He's not hurting anyone folks it really is just a big TV game!

Just for sheets and giggles i'm going to start watchil IDOL and vote for him.

He never did anything wrong to me...  Maybe he should win to spite the arses at the gasebal game!

Won't bother me at all who wins but I guess those baseball babies might start a hunger strike!  M A T U R E !

Face it people Sanjaya is not good. He sounded terrible last night and he didn't care cause he knows people are going to vote for him becasue of the fact that he is the worst singer in the competition! He got boo'd for good reason...he is ruining the show by not stepping down and let real singers compete...he is selfish and rude...good for him getting boo'd!

Goodbye Sanjaya, You'll Be Back said:

He may be gone from American Idol, but he'll be on tour with the group this summer.  I predict that one of these days he will be a famous singer.  What people don't seem to realize is that he's only 17.  I can't believe we have so many insensitive, rude, crass  people in the United States.  On second thought, I do believe it!  Good luck to Sanjaya in his future plans.  He's a strong kid.  Stronger than most of those stupid baseball fans that booed him.

Siva...are you serious?  "Talented Singer?"  I'm sorry, he's adorable, great smile, they should not have booed him.  I feel bad for him but...Talented Singer?  Siva clean your ears out.  I honestly feel if he gets a singing coach & maybe if his voice changes a bit he will do better but right now..."Talented Singer?" I'm sorry honey!

how terrible!  he didn't deserve that at all.  he didn't ask to be put through to the final 24, and he did his best every step of the way.  plus, he's such a lovable person.  i'm sorry to see him go.
