It was a long-awaited victory for Asia, the fierce 18 year old New Yorker as she was crowned the newest member of the highly popular burlesque inspired singing group 'The Pussycat Dolls' last night. The TV show began about 3 months ago in hoped of finding a woman suitable to become the newest member of the hit group. Millions of girls auditioned before the field was narrowed down to the final 9 who would be competing for the title. The nine girls would perform dance routines and sing (either in a group or solo) to show off their talents as overall performers. The group was quickly narrowed, with one girl leaving each week. Finally, by last night's finale episode, the field was narrowed down to three girls, Asia (18) the outspoken single mother from New York, Melissa R (18) the fierce performer from California and Chelsea (20) the underdog from Florida.

The three girls worked together to perform the hit song 'Lady Marmalade" just before singing their solo performances. Afterwards, the judges discussed the 3 remaining contestants before deciding who would become the newest member of the group. Needless to say, Asia was crowned the winner (although we were hoping for either of the other two from the remaining three).
Congratulations to Asia, the 18 year old single mother. Although it does seem as though becoming the newest member of a hit group like The Pussycat Dolls and being an 18 year old full-time single mom may be a lot to handle. Hopefully Asia didn't get in over her head.
