Carrie Underwood looked stunningly gorgeous at last night's 42nd Annual Country Music Awards. The 24 year old stole the spotlight from other newcomers like Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert, taking home an award for Album of the Year (Some Hearts) and another for Top Female Vocalist. Carrie glistened in a light gold sparkling dress to accept her first award, just before changing to perform her new hit single 'Wasted' in black pants and a white vest. Carrie, who has definitely lost weight and toned her body since her release from American Idol, has had numerous hit singles on her new CD including 'Jesus take the Wheel' and 'Think Before he Cheats'.

While Carrie has been primarily focused on her career, she has left some time for personal affairs. In fact, according to US Weekly, she's been seen spending a lot of time with NFL quarterback, Tony Romo. Carrie was seen spending time with Tony on his birthday, as the two drank champagne and had a few laughs.
Other winners at last night's CMA awards included Kenny Chesney for Entertainer of the Year, Miranda Lambert for Top New Female Vocalist and Brad Paisley for Male Vocalist of the year. Hot performances by Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland and more made the night a significant success. If you didn't catch last night's show, CMT will be re-airing the event on Sunday night.
