Courtney Love is striking out at Doc Marten's controversial new ad campaign that features several dead rockers wearing the shoes, including her late husband, Kurt Cobain.

Courtney's rep told People magazine that "She had no idea this was taking place and would never have approved such a use. She thinks it's outrageous that a company is allowed to commercially gain from such a despicable use of her husband's picture."
The ad, which features Cobain floating in the clouds draped in flowing robes, is one of a series that was released in the UK portraying rock legends like Sid Vicious of The Sex Pistols and Joey Ramone from The Ramones wearing Doc Martens.
Doc Martens has be receiving a lot of backlash over the ads; music fans are viewing this ad as just another way the former "official footwear of Punk" is selling out.
No word yet from the Doc Martens' camp - their rep could not be reached for comment.
