Sparks fly as 17 year old Jordin Sparks has joined the prestigious list of American Idol winners. Last night, Sparks made Idol history when she was crowned as the youngest American Idol winner in the history of the show. She beat out finalist Blake Lewis, who was also a favorite from the very beginning. What made last night's show even more amazing was the unbelievable roster of previous American Idol winners who showed up and performed.

Carrie Underwood, the blonde bombshell who has come a long way since her big win on American Idol arrived on stage last night to perform "I'll Stand by You'. Another surprise of the night was American Idol veteran, Kelly Clarkson, who also performed on the American Idol stage for the first time since she won the title. Other American Idol alumni making appearances at last night's show include Taylor Hicks and Ruban Studdard.

As the keeper of this year's American Idol title, Jordin will receive a record deal worth one million dollars. The big question is how long it will take for Jordin's post-Idol extreme makeover (think Carrie Underwood, Katherine McPhee and Taylor Hicks) to make the front page of entertainment magazines all over the world. After all, that's what winning American Idol is really about, isn't it?
