Newlywed fans all over the world will be happy to hear that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey may be heading towards reconciliation. The two musicians, who stole the hearts of millions of men and women during their first three years of marriage (which was televised for everyone to see), separated in 2006 and have went their separate ways ever since. Not long after the two filed for separation, Nick found consolation in the arms of former Entertainment Tonight host Vanessa Minnillo while Jessica took some time to herself and tried to stay away from the dating game. In August of 2006, rumors began to surface that Jessica Simpson and John Mayer were officially an item. To the dismay of many fans, the rumors were true and Jess has been in an on-again/off-again relationship with the bad boy musician ever since.
It wasn't until this past week that true Newlywed fans had something to be excited about. Earlier this week, many news sources claimed that there were talks between Jessica and Nick of a possible reconciliation. According to the news sources, Jessica and John are officially over and Jessica is ready to settle down with Nick again. And while Nick is in a more serious relationship with Vanessa (they recently moved in together), the photos of she and Lindsay Lohan playing with knives didn't impress him in the least. Nick, being the gentleman he is, defended his girl and said the two were still happily in a relationship. But then, in a shocking turn of events, Vanessa has been considering a reality TV deal. For those of you who don't know, Nick is extremely against partaking in anymore reality shows because of the chaos of the Newlyweds. If there is one thing that could tear these two apart, reality TV is it.
So this is bad news for Vanessa and John but good news for Nick and Jessica and their millions of fans who have been eagerly awaiting a reunion. When there is official news that the two are back together, we will have all the juicy details!
