Gone are the days when Nick Lachey was with a respectful, classy young lady like Jessica Simpson. The singer's current girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo, is bad news for Nick and he knows it. The highly publicized couple is back in the headlines and, once again, not for good reasons. According to TMZ.com, the couple is threatening to sue any magazine that publishes photos that were recently leaked of Nick and Vanessa going at it in a hot tub. Life and Style Magazine reportedly published photos of the two making out but there are many other photos showing the couple having 'hardcore sex' in a hot tub on their Mexican vacation.

A source tells TMZ.com that the photos are "Paris sex tape-level scandalous and include images of the couple in several different sex positions". These photos surfacing just after other racy photos of Vanessa playing with knives with Lindsay Lohan" surfaced about a month ago. Could it be that Vanessa is trying desperately to squeeze herself into the spotlight? I mean, you're a celebrity couple that is followed 24-7, is there really any need to do the deed in an outdoor hot tub? If Nick were with Jess, this would have never happened.

The couple's attorney, Marty Singer, has sent a letter to the weekly magazines stating that, should they publish the photos, they will be faced with a hefty lawsuit. Singer told TMZ.com that the photographer was "outrageous and malicious" and that "the photos that were taken of our clients by a Mexican photographer violated Mexican law and were a clear invasion of privacy, and we have threatened to take legal action against third parties who publish the photos." 

I guess the rumors of a potential breakup between the couple are false. Too bad - we were really hoping these two would break it off.
