A lot can change in one year.

Just months after Spice Girl member Melanie Brown gave birth to their new baby girl, her ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy is ready to tie the knot with another woman.

Eddie, 46, and his girlfriend of about nine months, Tracey Edmonds, 40, officially announced their engagement to OK! magazine last week.

A rep for the happy couple released a statement confirming wedding rumors. 

“Tracey and Eddie were engaged last Wednesday,” the rep said. “Tracey and Eddie are both very much in love and are excited about spending the rest of their lives together.”

Earlier this month, the two were quick to defend rumors of a potential breakup. Speculation of a split began when Mel. B. and Eddie began the paternity test battle to see if Eddie was the father of Melanie’s baby.

Luckily, Tracey is okay with Eddie’s ‘baggage’. In fact, she’s even got some baggage of her own.

The 40-year-old movie producer finalized her divorce from rapper Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds in June. It didn’t take long for Eddie or Tracey to move on from the past, did it?

Wonder if Melanie and ‘Babyface’ will get an invite to the wedding?
