Star Jones Admits to Surgery!

As most of us expected, it wasn’t hours of working out and eating healthy that helped Star Jones shrink down from size 26 to six in just three years.

After years of denying that her 160-pound weight loss was the result of surgery, Star has decided to open up and speak the truth.

The 45-year-old former co-host of “The View” now admits she underwent gastric bypass surgery to help lose the excess weight she’d been carrying around. She also admitted to lying about it for the past three years.

The revelation is featured in the September issue of Glamour Magazine, where Star took the time to write a personal essay on the trials and tribulations she’s experienced since her massive weight loss.

The essay dissects a number of hot topics associated with Star’s life, including why she left “The View,” the rumors of a divorce between her and her husband and, of course, the truth behind her highly publicized weight loss.

In the issue, Star also reveals the real reason why she lied about having surgery in the first place.

“The complete truth is, I was scared of what people might think of me,” she admits.

“I had spent my entire adult life telling everyone that I was fine with the way I looked. I never thought I'd have to explain it.”

Star insists she’s happy and healthy and is relieved to have the “weight” lifted from her shoulders.

After much encouragement from her husband and her fans, Star is certain that coming out about her surgery was the right thing to do.

All I have to say is if this is the way she decided to loose weight, then it is her business.  My mom had the same procedure.  It was a life and death decision.  I can not believe everyone has made such a big deal out of this.  It is her life and her decision.  Everyone accepts someone getting a boob job to get more work, but heaven forbid Starr do something that would help her health!

I have people in my own family that will make remarks to my mom about the extreme she went through to loose weight.  This was not her first choice.  She has worked and worked to loose weight but nothing helped!  It hurts her feelings that family members would make those comments.  I would think that they would be happy that she is healthier now.  But no!  Everyone has to be negative.  What happened to love your neighbor?  One of the greatest Commandments of our Lord is to love each other.

I think Starr is beautiful now and she was beautiful then.  But if she is not happy, she needs to change!  I love you Starr for being your self.  I loved you on the View!  God Bless you and I hope you have a great life with your husband.  Dont listen to them, lol.  Our Lord also said, anyone without sin should throw the first stone!

This is just the thoughts of someone who is a size 16 to 18 depending on which day it is.
