If you thought David and Victoria were too posh for the LA Galaxy, think again!

The British invaders have been welcomed by the team with open arms, despite Beckham’s later-than-expected debut on the pitch.

David’s personal blog is letting fans know just how much support he, Victoria and their three boys are getting from his new teammates.

David begins his post by ensuring fans that he’s working hard to get fit for the field even though he’s suffering an injury to his left ankle - which fans will remember he broke during the World Cup back in 2002.

“I’ve been working really hard this week in the gym to try and get fit as quickly as possible and get playing again. As anyone who knows me is well aware, I love playing soccer and can’t wait to get out on the pitch and play a part in the upcoming games”.

David then talks about how welcoming and understanding the team and their families are of their new (and highly publicized) star despite his current injury.

“On Saturday I rode in the team coach to the game against Chivas, which was great even though I didn’t play and, obviously, it was brilliant to be in the locker room with the guys before the game and be part of the pre-match camaraderie. I like to be involved as much as possible and the coaches and my team mates have really made an effort to make me feel part of things, which is a great feeling.

“The Galaxy organized a team BBQ on Sunday at the Home Depot Center, which all the players and their families are invited to. It’s a real team bonding experience and a great chance for the player’s families to get to know one another. Everyone had a fantastic time and it was really nice to see all our children making friends.”

Meanwhile, David and Victoria seem to be settling into the fast-paced lifestyle of Los Angeles.

David will be making his way to Toronto this weekend where the LA Galaxy is scheduled to take on the Toronto FC on Sunday night.

There’s no word yet on whether Posh will make an appearance.
