Our favorite country music star is topping the charts again with her new hit single “So Small.”
It appears that Carrie Underwood has underestimated her ability as a songwriter.
While the 24-year-old music sensation has been holding back for a while, Underwood’s quickly realizing that she has more potential than she’s been giving herself credit for.
Since its release a mere few weeks ago, the hit song has been picked up by 128 reporting radio stations. Incredibly, it has also become the highest-debuting single by any country female artist in the history of Nielson BDS (the company that tracks radio airplay). Way to go Carrie!
The all-American sweetheart co-wrote the new single with Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey, who are also thrilled that it’s been so successful.
Can you just picture the look on Faith Hill’s face now?
To top it all off, Carrie has also been nominated for a VMA award. The “American Idol” winner is up for the Best New Artist award alongside other newcomers like Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and Gym Class Heroes.
Carrie’s much-anticipated album is scheduled to hit stores on October 23rd but you can preview her new hit single on YouTube.com.
