While many people would rather walk through fire than work for Gordon Ramsay, Rock – a 30-year-old chef from Spotsylvania, VA – is thrilled to be the newest member of the “Hell’s Kitchen” winning team.
Last night’s finale featured Rock and Bonnie as the final two contestants competing to become head chef at the Green Valley Ranch resort in Las Vegas.
And while it seemed easy to predict from the beginning that Rock was the favorite to win, Bonnie – the 26-year-old personal chef and nanny from LA – gave him a run for his money last night.
Unlike million-dollar winners from “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race,” winners of “Hell’s Kitchen have to earn their $250,000 salary with long hours and 100 percent dedication required to make it in the restaurant industry.
Fortunately for Rock, he also gets his own restaurant – the Green Valley Ranch – and an opportunity most chefs can only dream of.
And while the new season of “Hell’s Kitchen” won’t be ready to tape until the beginning of next year, your weekly dose of Gordon Ramsay won’t be disappearing anytime soon.
Fans of Ramsay can check out the U.S premiere of his hit British TV show, “Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares,” beginning September 19th on Fox.
