It seems as though Kevin Federline is smarter than most of us give him credit for – or smart enough to hire a good lawyer, at least.

K-Fed has not left a stone unturned when it comes to the former friends of Britney Spears. The aspiring rapper/wrestler has now focused on his third victim; Britney’s former assistant, Shannon Funk.

Shannon has tried to remain mum on Brit’s parenting skills so far, but we’re dying to hear what she’ll have to say when she’s sworn to tell the truth in court.

A while back, media reports claimed that Britney supposedly fired Shannon. While the two went from being practically inseparable to barely speaking, it’s hard to imagine that Funk has anything positive to say about the former pop princess and her skills as a mom.

Shannon is the third target in Kevin’s ploy to gain primary physical custody of their two children.

First it was another of Britney’s former assistants, her cousin Allie Simms, then it was her bodyguard Daimon Shippen and now Shannon.

Some reports even claimed that Kevin had served Brit’s ex boy-toy, J.R. Rotem, with court papers as well; although these reports have not yet been confirmed.

We’re wondering how long it will be before K-Fed serves Brit’s mom.

That would really put this court battle into full drive.

Looks like Kevin is building quite the case against his ex-wife.

Let’s hope Britney has a good lawyer - otherwise this pop tart is toast.
