The verdict is in in the Mills / McCartney divorce proceedings, but even though Heather came out almost $50 million richer, she just couldn’t let go of the drama.
In possibly one of the ugliest splits in history, Heather Mills has certainly shown her true colors, from bashing Paul in the press to throwing out accusations of domestic abuse. When the case was brought to court, Heather continued with her antics, offering what judge Hugh Bennett referred to as “inconsistent and inaccurate” evidence while providing her own defense – that’s right people, she fired her lawyers when the going got tough.
Once the verdict was in, Mills, who proclaimed herself a “campaigning girl,” immediately jumped on her soapbox and gave a rambling, disjointed tirade on the whole situation, captured here on TelegraphTV. Claiming concern for the ex-couple’s four-year-old daughter Beatrice, Mills had rallied to keep the outcome of the trial private – but after that petition was thrown out, she was itching to rant and rave about the injustices of the ruling, including the fact that her daughter was “now meant to travel 'B' class while her father travels 'A' class.”
We could almost sympathize with Heather – despite her unmistakable gloating over the court’s decision to award her a much larger settlement than what Sir Paul had offered, she still got less than one fifth of the number she deemed to be her just rewards. But then we thought – wait a minute, $50 million?
That’ll go a long way in first class travel, and we don’t think little Beatrice will be hurting any time soon. So sorry Heather, we’re saving our tears for the homeless, or at least for Kevin Federline. Certainly not for someone who has comported themselves with a complete lack of class and respect for a marriage.
Oh and did we mention that at the final ruling Mills apparently doused Paul’s lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, with a glass of water? Check out the pics on People.com - it just doesn’t get any better than that.
