We hope Selita Eubanks wasn’t planning on going after her old ring, because more and more evidence is mounting that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are officially married – looks like that rock ain’t leaving Mariah’s finger anytime soon!

At first the story of the couple’s nuptials was thought to be fake, but confirmation details are starting to appear on websites from the Associated Press to Latina.com, who first broke the headline of a marriage.

According to the site, 39-year-old Mariah and 27-year-old Nick wed at Carey’s home in the Bahamas after a whirlwind (and publicly unconfirmed) romance of two months. Latina’s unnamed source reported that the wedding was “very impulsive,” and also that it was attended by a few close friends, most famously female rapper Da Brat.

Since then, E! Online has also come forward to confirm the marriage rumors, citing their source as Linda Cannon, identified only as a family member of Nick’s. “He called us and told us all about it,” the source claims. “We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him.”

Although their courtship was short, Mariah is said to be crazier in love with Nick than Beyonce is for Jay-Z. “They have been smitten with each other for days, weeks…and she’s always had a crush on him,” another unnamed source reported, this time to the New York Post. Cannon is even featured in Mariah’s upcoming video for her single “Bye Bye.”

As for Nick’s side, no pre-nup is reported, so even if the marriage goes as sour as Mariah’s first marriage to Tommy Mottola, a payoff for the former Nickoledeon star and lesser known rapper could be in order.

As to the infamous rumors of the twice-used engagement ring, they are quickly proving to be false. People has confirmed that the ring Nick used to propose to Selita Eubanks is not the same as the 17 carat, 2.5 million dollar rock he dropped on his new leading lady.
