Actress Natasha Richardson almost tore a page out of Britney Spears’ book during the star-studded gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this week when she flashed her flesh-colored thong to photographers and passer-bys.

Richardson was trying to look classy as she lifted her ultra-revealing pale pink dress to walk up the stairs of the museum but gave photographers a little more than they were bargaining for when she flashed her panties on full display.

Not even realizing that she almost showed the world her Britney, we’re pretty sure the 44-year-old hottie is burying her head in embarrassment this morning.

It’s not like Natasha has anything to be too embarrassed about – at least she was wearing panties. That’s way more than we can expect from other Hollywood starlets like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. Perhaps that’s why they weren’t invited to the posh gala.

Be careful Natasha, one more malfunction like this and you’ll be off the next year’s guest list faster than it took these photos to circulate the Internet. 

What else can we say about the whole fiasco?
