Lindsay Lohan has dropped her new single “Bossy” on innocent listeners, and already the track has made us wish we were born without ears. Or that we lived on a planet far, far away from Lindsay. Or that we could build an underground house where sound at Lindsay's frequency could never EVER penetrate.
Well you get the point. Here's the facts:
The new song was written by Ne-Yo, and according to People, the rapper wrote it specifically for Lindsay because it’s about strong, confident and powerful women.
“I wrote it for her because when she’s on her game, you can see these traits in her,” he explained. “When she’s focused, she exudes the aura of a boss with ease.”
Hmm, sounds like a friendly way of calling LiLo a massive Bi-otch to work with if you ask us! Ne-Yo, are you sure you haven’t been tipping back a little too much Grey Goose yourself? Because the rehab-returning, DUI-charged Lindsay Lohan we know and loathe is as accurate a reflection of a strong woman as Clay Aiken is.
Still, the song is out there, and Lindsay is set to release her third album (which will feature this track) later this year. The album is not yet named and not much is known about it, but given LiLo’s previous crap-track releases, we can expect a lot more moody, self-indulgent, “why won’t everybody take me seriously” lyrics with some half-baked (no pun intended) vocals.
We've posted in the past that we're rooting for Lindsay to at least get her life back on track, but we're not sure her musical career was ever anything more than a pathetic cry for sympathy that no one ever wanted to listen to.
“Rumors”, “Confessions of A Broken Heart”, frankly Lindsay, we don’t want to hear about your woes as a human being anymore, especially not to ear-scratching synth-track backbeats. If you’re mad at the world for simultaneously paying too much and too little attention to you, the least you can do is keep it to yourself. Or get a diary. And DON'T release it to the press.
And as for “Bossy,” sorry hun but Kelis did it first and did it better. Now there’s a strong, confident chick you don’t want to tangle with!
