We never thought we’d say it, but in the breakup of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen, the bigger scumbag award might actually go to Denise Richards – and that’s without being caught with a prostitute!
There was a time when Denise was on our hot list. Say, around the time of her nasty girl-on-girl with Neve Campbell in Wild Things. But the glory days are over, and the man-stealing divorcee now has about as much sex appeal as our heaping pile of last week’s socks and underwear.
Since their 2006 divorce, Richards and Sheen have been tangled up in the most publicly ugly divorce since Paul McCartney and Heather Mills (which actually happened after Charlie’s and Denise’s, but you know what we mean). But surprisingly, Denise has been the one hurling the most poo of the two, and is possibly making herself the bigger fool in the headlines.
The most recent scandal is over an email Sheen’s fiancée Brooke Mueller supposedly received from Richards asking for (oh yes) a sperm donation from her former husband. Of course Denise is deny, deny, denying writing the email, but the logic behind her argument still gives us the heebie-jeebies.
“That email is not legitimate,” the actress said on the Today Show. “I would never send an email to his…girlfriend, and, at the time of that email I was with Richie[Sambora]. If I wanted anybody’s sperm, I’d have asked for Richie’s.”
Whoa. TMI alert Denise, that’s an overshare not suitable for national television. We want to go back to the days where a connection between Richie Sambora and…shudder…his sperm never even existed in our world.
Other battles between Denise and Charlie are a little more commonplace. Denise is playing the poor card to drive up alimony and child support payments, claiming the $52,000 a month she gets for the kiddies and $60,000 a month for herself just can’t keep the bills covered. Hence starring in her new reality TV show, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated.
The show includes footage of Denise and Charlie’s two young girls, Sam, 4, and Lola, 2, which apparently has dad Charlie fuming. He’s made attempts to ban Denise from including the girls on the show, and has been back in court to have a judge re-examine the couple’s custody agreement.
So there you have it: Denise’s divorce battles include attempting to deny reports that she lusts for Charlie’s sperm and publicly boo-hooing her $110,000 monthly budget. Charlie’s include ensuring the safety of the couple's children by working to keep them off Denise’s garbage-bag of a reality TV show.
