The last few years of Heather Locklear’s life have been a far cry from picture perfect but no one thought her psychological issues were quite as bad as they actually are.

Locklear’s publicist has confirmed that the 46-year-old mom is seeking help in an Arizona facility for anxiety and depression.

“Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment," Locklear's rep, Cece Yorke told the press.

"This is a confidential medical matter and no further statement will be released."

This isn’t the first red flag for the Hollywood star. In March 2008, police were called to Locklear’s home regarding a supposed suicide attempt by the actress.

Authorities arrived at her home, at which time she appeared to be fine, but police stand firm on the fact that they were called by someone claiming to be Heather’s doctor, who insisted that the former Melrose Place star was trying to commit suicide.

And while there’s no pointing fingers as to what may have pulled the trigger on Heather’s mental illness - which has only been a present factor in her life for the past few years - her divorce from Richie Sambora and his immediate hookup with her best friend Denise Richards following their separation maybe, just maybe, might have something to do with it.

If that happened to us, we’d probably be screwed up too.
