Sandra ‘Sibi’ Blazic, wife to Christian Bale, is reported to be the source for the
Batman: The Dark Knight actor’s off-screen familial scuffle. Lucky for her, she’s got a strong, handsome superhero-portraying hubby to come to her rescue!
A source close to Bale is saying the incident occurred after Christian’s mother Jenny Bale insulted Sandra, but that no physical assault occurred.
“Christian was stressed, but he didn’t lay a finger on anyone,” the source reported to London’s Mail Online. “Instead he flew off the handle and cussed his mother.”
Christian and Sandra have been married for eight years, but are rumored to be having marital problems. That coupled with the death of Bale’s friend and costar Heath Ledger has left the actor under a great deal of stress, which is a bad mix with the temper he is known for, according to the source.
“Normally Christian would just call a friend and go out to a pub to cool off,” he explained after the incident. “He was literally trapped into this confrontation with his mother and sister because there was an army of fans and paparazzi outside.”
It looks like the skirmish will just blow over as Bale has been released from police custody, but could the situation be an omen that the actor is losing his cool?
Or worse, could it be a similar warning sign to those Heath Ledger exhibited in his final days? We’re not sure, but we’d rather see Bale take some time off and get his life together, so we don’t see another tragic event like that of his friend and costar.
