It seems as though pop tart Britney Spears has her priorities in check – at least for the time being. The 26-year-old mom made the decision (along with her father, Jamie) to not extend the restraining order that had recently been given to Brit’s former friend Osama ‘Sam’ Lutfi but insists that she wants nothing to do with him.

Brit-Brit’s lawyer, Samuel D.  Ingham lll, released this statement to the press:

"Britney has made it clear to everyone that she does not want to be further harassed or contacted in any way by Osama 'Sam' Lutfi, now or at any time in the future."

So why not extend the restraining order?

Well it appears Spears' father and her former manager/friend have come to an agreement that brit and Sam's friendship is over.

A statement released by Lutfi’s attorney claims that "Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Spears have mutually agreed in private that no hearing or order is necessary at this time."

And if Lutfi thinks he can convince the pop princess to become friends again, he had better think again.

“If Mr. Lutfi makes any future attempt to contact Britney after the temporary conservatorship has concluded, Britney has made clear she will take all appropriate legal action," Ingham finished.

Earlier this year, Sam Lutfi was accused of drugging the singer and taking advantage of her during a time when her mental state was severaly unbalanced.

The judge in the case agreed that Lutfi may be a threat to Spears and immediately issued a restraining order to keep him from contacting Britney in any way.

Let’s hope Lutfi takes a hike for good. Britney has been doing so much better since that psychopath disappeared.
