US Magazine Cover Attacks Sarah Palin - Did they go too Far?

US Weekly Magazine has drifted away from its typical Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie Hollywood headlines and is taking a political stance in this week’s edition – and the controversial cover is taking the tabloid world by storm.

US Magazine publisher Jann Wenner has no problem planting the face of McCain’s pick, Sarah Palin on the front cover of this week’s issue, with controversial headlines like “Babies, Lies and Scandals.”

The new issue, hitting newsstands Wednesday, is slamming the Alaskan Governor for everything from her racy past to the pregnancy of her 17-year-old daughter.

US Weekly Magazine  Sarah Palin

Sarah has been making headlines since McCain announced her as his pick for VP last week but it seems like the scandalous 44-year-old mother of five has more skeletons in her closet than Eliot Spitzer.

College photos of Palin wearing a t-shirt with the words “I may be broke but I’m not flat busted” (seen above) seem to indicate she’s better fit for a strip club than a presidential campaign.

But, racy past and family matters aside, has US Weekly gone too far with this week’s cover?

Do you think attacking Sarah Palin’s personal life is fair game – or have the tabloids and media crossed the line?

I want to thank Wenner Media for their despicable treatment of Sarah Palin on the cover of their mindless rag "US."  You and your colleagues and the rest of the liberal press have succeeded in energizing the Republican voter base to a fever pitch. Today, Obama and McCain are tied. I can't wait to watch the "Messiah," the Magic Negro Marxist, sink in the poles in the wake of Palin’s superb oratory and your pathetic yellow journalism.

Biased news is prevalent and this magazine has gone way over the edge with their cover on Sara Palin. Absolutely disgusting.  I hope people all over refuse to buy this trash and show this magazine that we can make a difference and will not tolerate personal attacks. I hope this latest lame attack backfires in your face and you reap what you have sewn. DO NOT BUY THIS ISSUE!  CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS!  Show the media we are sick and tired of their biased crap!

I will never buy another US Weekly due to the biased article on Sarah Palin.

The media should not be for their personal agenda.

I agree, Do not purchase trashy sleeze.  Cancel subscriptions, let this tabloid know that American citizens deserve unbiased reporting.

As a senior citizen who was undecided, Now I will vote with the conservative Republicans instead of the liberal Democrats who will go to any lengths to get Obama elected.

US magazine is never going to get another dollar of my money! I am so sick of Obama getting all of this attention from the media. If I wanted some souped up celebrity to be my president I would vote for Morgan Freeman before this wack job. This guys background is not only full of hate and rage agaist america and his own family, his people can't even produce a birth certificate showing where he was born. But a college girl wearing a t-shirt showing she has a sense of humor becomes top notice for beloow the bealt aiming liberal hot heads! Besides I will become a millionaire before I ever take political advice from a GOSSIP magazine!

Makes me want to go out and get a copy and see what they have to say. Clearly all Americans realize the danger of having such an unqualified person in such an important job and everyone, even US magazine, is taking a stand. The stand  most rational people are taking is to say these are very serious times and we need our best educated, most experienced, capable people working for our safety. It's good to be down-home and family-oriented, we all are, but those "folksy" qualities are not a qualification for dealing with such serious world problems that are facing all of us. A person who is inexperienced with the larger world, who holds simplistic beliefs but yet finds themselves in a position of power could engage us in a war that might involve nuclear weapons, even if it meant aimed at us! Especially someone who believes in the "end days"- a belief that includes a Armageddon. Do we want a person who believes that THE ENTIRE WORLD could end on her watch to possibly have such enormous powers?

Who really do you want to be in charge of your government: an old war-monger who doesn't use a computer and who is stuck in the past and who maybe is unstable from past trauma, (keep that red button away from him!) and who, if he died, and he has cancer, would leave the country to be led by a completely inexperienced, unqualified, non-thinking woman who cannot separate church and state, who believes creationism should be taught in schools, believes that dinosaurs lived when humans lived!, who speaks/spoke in tongues, and who has many problems in her family that could distract her ability to lead. Such a choice of a VP shows McCain's lack of judgment and impulsivity. Didn't they even look into her background? Such an embarrassment to all thinking Americans.
