Matt Damon is yet another Hollywood star using his fame to voice concerns over this year’s presidential election.
The actor sat down for an interview where he showed a more serious side of himself – and his skepticism towards Sarah Palin becoming Vice President of the United States.
“I think that there’s a really good chance that Sarah Palin could be President umm...and I think that’s the really scary thing, because I don’t know anything about her,” he begins.
“I know that she was the mayor of a really really small town and she’s Governor of Alaska for less than 2 years, I just don’t understand...I think the pick was made for political purposes but in terms of governance is a disaster.
Matt then goes on to state that there’s a one in three chance that McCain (if elected president) wouldn’t survive his first term.
Damon, 37, compares Palin’s potential presidency to a really bad Disney movie:
“You know the hockey mom, ‘I’m just a hockey mom from Alaska’ and she’s the President and it’s like she’s facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink, you know, it’s absurd.
"I don’t understand why more aren’t talking about how absurd it is. It’s a really terrifying possibility.”
There’s more of Matt’s opinion found in the YouTube video below, so take a look and let us know what you think.
