Any hope of Jessica Simpson veering away from her ditzy blonde image is slowly fading away – especially after her appearance on David Letterman this week.

The light-hearted singer was all smiles as she spoke about her new love Tony Romo, but it just wouldn’t be a Jessica Simpson interview without a few slip ups.

As you can see in the YouTube video below, Jessica gets herself into a sticky mess while talking about football equipment (jock straps and cups in particular), so messy that she doesn’t even want Tony’s parents to see the tape.

Not only did Jessica raise the question of whether football players where cups but she pointed out just how closely she looks at the area when Tony’s playing and how looking at it gets her “all hot and bothered.”

Too much info there Jess – too much info.

Regardless, Jessica seems happier and healthier than she has in a long time.

Tony has been making a positive impact on this struggling star.

We hope their relationship lasts!
