Elisabeth Hasselbeck, mother-of-two and co-host of The View, has announced that there will be a new addition to the Hasselbeck clan, expected to arrive this August.

That’s right, the controversial co-host is knocked up (her words, not ours) for the third time in four and a half years.

Elizabeth announced the news this morning on the show, where she revealed that she and her footballer husband Tim Hasselbeck were expecting their third child together.

"We are thankful for such great news and will begin planning our zone defense strategy immediately," Elisabeth revealed in an unsuccessful attempt at being funny.

And, we don’t mean to question the loyalty of the politically-obsessed, outspoken host but is it possible that John McCain is the baby-daddy of the unborn child?

All we're saying is that her due date is in August. That means she conceived the baby around late november/beginning of December. It was a rough time for McCain and Elisabeth was a great "supporter." Perhaps she comforted him a little more than she needed to. 

Okay, it's obvious Elisabeth probably isn't pregnant with John McCain's baby – but imagine the scandal if she was. On second thought, imagine what the baby would look like – that’s even more amusing!

Congratulations to Elisabeth and her husband, Tim, on their happy news. Hopefully her children turn out better than she did.
