American Idol Bikini Girl Advances in Competition – Is She Worthy?

American Idol’s favorite brunette hit the stage again tonight to prove to all the judges (particularly Kara and Paula) that she deserved another chance at stardom.

American Idol Bikini GirlKatrina Darrell – notoriously known as Bikini Girl – took to the stage to perform Faith Hill’s hit Breathe.

While Kara and Paula made it seem like the brunette beauty was lacking vocal talent, Simon and Randy were quick to disagree.

Ultimately, Bikini Girl made it through to the next round – but did she deserve it?

Between Katrina Darrell and Nick Norman, we’re beginning to wonder whether American Idol is becoming nothing more than a fame-hungry reality show, willing to put anyone in the spotlight if it means an increase in ratings. We have enough of those shows already - thanks Paris Hilton and Brody Jenner!

Do you think Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell deserved another chance?

Of course she deserves another chance.  Based on singing alone, she is good enough to to go through.  I'm not saying she's the best, but I'm being fair about it.  I've watched all 8 seasons, and am also into music, singing etc.  She sounds really good and is already better than some passed through.  Plus she's had lessons etc.   Be warned, she will not be judged by her singing, but mostly by insecure girls who hate her because she's hot.   They will then claim they know for certain she can't sing a note, LOL.

Funny thing is I've heard worse sounding girls get passed through already and with little resistance.  I invite you to notice how Kara is always the 1st person to have a problem with her.  But being realistic, I think they set the entire interaction  up for the show in a way.  Now, some people may hate her attitude or personality, but this is about her singing.  And on the other side, some people will like her energy, enthusiasm and self confidence.  There's nothing worse than a boring, text book, idol that has no energy.    So yes.  Katrina Darrell has my vote for going through.
