We didn’t want to believe that the Rihanna/Chris Brown incident was true but as more and more details surface it seems as though we’re left with no other choice.
Chris Brown did beat up Rihanna and she was left with bruises, a black eye and contusions on her face – a police source has confirmed to PEOPLE.
According to the source the 20-year-old Barbardos born cutie suffered a black eye in addition to "a swollen split lip and two red and purple contusions on either side of her forehead."
Brown, 19, turned himself in to LAPD around 6:30 on Sunday night, where he was booked on a criminal threat charge. Neither Rihanna nor Chris have been seen since the alleged incident.
Some of Rihanna’s closest friends, including musician Kanye West have lent their support to the distraught “Disturbia” singer.
"[Rihanna] has the potential to be, you know, the greatest artist of all time and, in that sense, I feel like [she is] my baby sis,” West said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show. “I would do any and everything to help her in any situation.”
We truly hope Rihanna is okay. We also hope that Chris Brown faces severe consequences for his behavior. This type of situation should never be tolerated. Never.
