What the hell has happened to Joaquin Phoenix in the last year?

Joaquin Phoenix used to be a respected actor in Hollywood – and a very good looking man – but lately his behaviour has been outlandish and peculiar, not to mention downright annoying.

The bearded actor-turned-rapper made an appearance on David Letterman last night where his questionable behaviour led many (including Letterman) to believe he may have been on drugs.

Joaquin was dull and boring, yet ironically intriguing during his 10 minute appearance on the late night show. We honestly don't know what to make of the interview.

When asked if anything fun happened during the filming of his last movie Two Lovers, Joaquin paused for quite some time, before answering with “well I’m sure something fun happened.”

The audience seemed to be eating up his “act” but Letterman appeared to be struggling with the interview.

When asked when we’ll get to see some of his new music, Joaquin replied by saying he wanted to come on the show and perform in the future. David, after struggling to make conversation with Phoenix for the last five minutes of the interview replied with “you know that seems unlikely.”
