Last night on American Idol, Carrie Underwood performed her new song "I Told You So" with Randy Travis. However, all attention was put to Carrie Underwood's failing hairstyle.

Carrie Underwood or her stylist (who should now be fired) decided to pin up her hair and create this faux bob, that has been getting her all kinds of negative press all morning!

I personally am not a fan of the style, that style and the way it was done, totally makes her hair resemble a wig from Hairspray! However, I give the girls props for the attempt and, can guess as to why she opted for this... she most likely wanted to play up to the nights theme of he "Grand Ole Opry."

Regardless, the entire look was an overall fail.

FYI: Never opt for a bob over long flowing blonde locks.
