Kim Kardashian played a little trick on her Twitter followers this weekend, when she announced she was debuting a drastic new look. The 28-year-old reality star posted photos of herself with long flowing golden blonde locks. That’s right, we said blonde.

Kardashian, known for her signature dark locks, stunned fans with her new look – but don’t worry, it wasn’t permanent.

After being bombarded with comments about how horrible she looked with blonde hair, Kim revealed that it was simply a wig and that she’s still a brunette underneath.

“It’s a wig! Did I have you fooled?” she wrote on her blog.

We’re guessing the brunette bombshell is happy she didn’t make a rash decision and go permanently blonde with the feedback she’s been getting.

Tabloids and fans of the curvacious cutie dubbed her blonde look as “washed out” and “Beyonce-obsessed" (we have to admit we had to do a double-take to make sure it wasn't Beyonce when we first saw the photo).

Who knew that a small change in hair color could spark so much interest?
