Kirstie Alley Weight Gain Photos 2009!

Kirstie Alley has been making headlines for her yo-yo figure for the past few decades and 2009 is no exception. The actress, 58, has been ballooning up and down in weight for several years now and seems to have hit an all-time high this year.

Alley, a former spokesperson for weight loss empire Jenny Craig, has spent countless hours defending her curves and admitting she has a weight problem. Kirstie's recent appearance on Oprah sparked even more controversy surrounding her full figure and even fuelled rumors that Jenny Craig no longer wanted to be associated with Kirstie Alley.

Fortunately, the rumors were false and Jenny Craig released a statement revealing that they had no problems with Kirstie and would welcome her back on the program whenever she wanted.

Kirstie's sudden weight gain comes just months after Valerie Bertinelli showed off her pin-thin figure in a revealing bikini. Bertinelli, still a spokeswoman for the Jenny Craig program, attributed her weight loss to the program and is a huge advocate for Jenny Craig weight loss.

Bertinelli has only been thin for a few months, though, and Kirstie Alley has seen moments in the past when she was super thin. Everyone is praising Valerie and putting Kirstie down but who's to say Valerie won't balloon up again in a year or so. Furthermore, who's to say Kirstie won't lose the weight again.

Either way, both of these women deserve credit for losing weight. And, ya, Kirstie is at a low point right now but we're confident she'll lose the pounds again.

Do you think Kirstie has the power to shed the pounds one more time?

Take a look at these photos of Kirstie big and small and let us know what you think:

I wouldn't call Bertinelli's bikini body "pin thin".  Yeah, she looked great, but she certainly wasn't "pin thin", nor do I think she was aiming for that.  Plus, I thought that I read that she has kept the weight off for a year now.

Another actress who struggled with her weight while trying to maintain a "sex kitten" image is Delta Burke. On Designing Women, she was supposed to be the "sexy" one but had struggled with her weight for years.  The weight gain eventually led to not only the loss of he job, but also the breakup of her friendships with the creators of the show and her co-star, Dixie Carter.

The situation with Carter was especially sad since they had previously worked together on another show and had established a "sisterly" relationship on that show.  When Carter stood on the side of the producers in an ultimatum of "lose the weight or lose the job", it must have been devastating for Burke.  In a special about Burke, Jean Smart and Meshach Taylor were the only DW regulars to appear.  Carter and Annie Potts (the other thin woman) did not participate.

I don't hear anyone 'downing' Oprah for regaining weight.  Too bad Dixie Carter and Annie Potts don't have more compassion for a 'sister'....  doesn't speak very well of them.  I stil think Delta Burke is a beautiful woman.  Give Kirstie a break.  Being in the 'spotlight' must be hell.

Kirstie is a beautiful woman at any weight. I do think for her own sake and for the sake of her children, that she should try to get healthy, but the goal shouldn't be a particular number of pounds - it should be staying active, eating healthfully, and keeping things like blood pressure and cholesterol in check. But that's her business, not the media's, and certainly not ours. I hope she does another movie role soon so we can start focusing on her TALENT again.

HAVING BEEN A YO=YO DIETER MYSELF FOR MOST OF MY ADULT YEARS AND NOW IN MY EARLY 70'S, I CAN EMPATHIZE WITH KIRSTIE AND PROBLEMS WITH BEING OVERWEIGHT.

I WENT ON MY LAST "DIET" ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND AM NOW COMFORTABLE WITH MY WEIGHT WITHIN THE NORMAL RANGE.  I ATTRIBUTE  MY SUCCESS IN LOSING 40 POUNDS AND KEEPING IT OFF TO MY  MOTIVATION TO BE HEALTHY AND HAPPY WITH MY BODY.

NOT UNTIL I DID THE PSYCHOLOGICAL WORK IN IDENTIFYING THE REASONS I OVERATE AND FINDING HOW TO COPE WITH MY PROBLEMS AND STRESSES, WAS I ABLE TO START A NEW LIFESTYLE AND REMAIN AT NORMAL WEIGHT.

I totally agree with Sheila.  Unless you do the work in your head and find what triggers one to overeat and find other ways of dealing with the daily stresses of life, food will remain prominent in one's life.

I think Kirstie looks better fat than she did thin.  The fact of the matter is that when she was ultra thin at the beginning of her career, she was a huge coke addict and that's how she stayed thin.

Anyone who thinks she  is a "pig" should look in the mirror and compliment their perfect self because obviously, people who are perfect in every way are the only people who have the right to judge.

No wait, nobody has the right to judge anyone for anything that isn't against the law.  If you don't like the way fat people look because you've been brainwashed by the media and their friends to think that ultra skinny, scrawny women who look like boys who have escaped concentration camps, with fake flotation devices on their chests , then you might want to check your own psychological profile.

Nobody is perfect.  We are all made the way we are, with our crazy personalities and all, and if you can't accept someone for who they are, so long as they  aren't hurting anyone, then you have a bigger problem than someone else's weight gain.

You can't have things both ways.  You can't say that anorexia and all it's sister ailments are bad and then bash people for not being super skinny or even if they are fat.

Get over the fat thing.  Concentrate on not eating junk food, high calorie food, over processed food, learn to cook and stay away from the drive through!  Then step up your exercise, it's not hard to walk to the store and back to get a newspaper or something, or walk around the mall for an hour.  Healthy is better than scrawny and healthy isn't a weight, it's a state of being.

So, again, get over the fat thing and go, Kirstie, go!

Well, it's certainly psychological the problem she has. Anyone who balloons up like that and then sheds all the weight again and then does it all over again time and time again has a mental problem. I hate how people focus on eating right and exercising when it's really a much deeper problem than simply getting off the couch and eating an apple. It's low self-esteem which is the cause of a lot of 'bad' behaviour and it's never going to change unless something inside your head changes first. I know because I used to be like that. It's hard, but if you can overcome your demons you will naturally become healthy and look beautiful!
