In 2008, Lindsay Lohan channelled Marilyn Monroe in a nude photo shoot for New York Magazine that rocked the media and sparked headlines across the world. Just a year after the controversial photo shoot, Lohan is channelling her favorite icon once again – but will the media be more receptive to her photos this time around?

Lindsay’s almost-nude photos from her 2008 shoot (seen below on the far right), were dubbed “desperate” and “pathetic” by countless media outlets around the world. A desperate plea for attention, the pics were considered tasteless and provocative instead of timeless and elegant.

In an attempt to redeem herself from last year’s disastrous performance, Lindsay brought out the blonde wig and posed as the 1950’s icon for Spanish Vogue.

Now, we’re not a fan of LaLohan – in fact we actually despire her – but we have to admit that she looks pretty hot in these photos.

Not only does she look fresh and fabulous but she’s mastered the essence of Marilyn Monroe in her prime.
