Tonight is the night American Idol fans have been waiting for all season! Tonight, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen fight it out to see which finalist is worthy of the coveted title of American Idol winner 2009. But who has what it takes to take home gold?
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Adam took the crown tonight with all of the built up hype from the judges throughout this season, but there's no denying that Kris Allen has come out of nowhere these last few weeks - even impressing the coldest of judges, Mr. Simon Cowell.
Both of these guys are extremely talented and clearly have their own styles that fly well with the many viewers.
Last night, in a final attempt to win over the judges and the viewers, Adam Lambert sang Sam Cook's "A Change is Gonna Come," picked by "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller.
Kara and Paula said, it may have been his best performance of the year. Making the songs your own is a bit of a hit with the judges and that is what Adam tends to do, which could help him secure the title tonight.
Kris Allen sang "Ain't No Sunshine," and wooed the crowd with his soulful vocals and even received praise from Cowell.
And so the question remains, who is more deserving of this year's title?
I say let it be a tie! Why not mix things up and have two idols for a change?
Personally, I'm getting a little sick of the same old, mundane American Idol, season after season. The only shocking news I can report to you is Simon Cowell flashing his hairy chest on last night’s show - so hot. It appears he had forgotten to button up his shirt - or he realized that ratings were down and thought he'd show a bit of skin to spark media interest this morning? hmmm, either way, it was the highlight of the show.
The question now is who should win American Idol 2009 - the soulful, serene Kris Allen or the theatrical, flamboyant Adam Lambert?
My decision is still up in the air and could go either way, what about yours?
