I've watched every episode and know these people as if they were my own family.

I've watched both Jon and Kate go through their ups and downs.

Yes, Kate Barks at Jon. Yes, Jon barks at Kate. But they have said several times they always love each other and sometimes it is just a bad way of communicatiing.

Neither of these people are monsters and both love their kids very, very much.

This show was not a bad descision, but recently the media has been tearing their family apart.

As much as I love this show, believe me I do, they should stop it.

I hope their announcement is they are ending the show, but if it's a divorce, that is okay as well. They have obviously thought about their decision and, if it is divorce, maybe it's the best for them and their kids.

They are both strong people who MAKE MISTAKES.

They are real people trying to hold their family together.The media needs to understand and stop talking trash because their comment's are tearing them further apart.

I wish the best to them and their incredible kids.

Everyone thinks money will solve the problem.  It doesn't.  Kids need both parents.  To have 8 then divorce is selfish and irresponsible.  Your thirties are tough.  Ask any married couple.  What the show has shown, is that marriage and raising a family is difficult at best. Cannot rewind time. Reflect, reestablish priorities.

Divorce is a cop out, lazy and irresponsible way of giving up on a FAMILY LIFE for these 8 kids.  Travel the tougher road of keeping the family together.  

But given the two self-absorbed parents who've gone from cherishing family life to glitz and fame, personal chefs, body guards, nannies, free vacations, ridiculous hair do, mini skirts and all, and the constant berating of a tough woman upon her man, I doubt there's any hope for Jon & Kate.  What man in his right mind would have married her?  

Nonetheless, these two adults are obligated to keep their marriage together, yes, for the sake of the children.  Somehow, we've lost that insight in America, as though divorce is OK, no it's not.  As a child of divorce, I should know.  And now, as a parent, I know even more.

I will no longer watch the show.  I used to be a big fan and enjoyed the family dynamics.  However, now it is all about Jon and Kate, you see very little of the kids and Kate has changed so much, sho now has her fake nails, her tanning bed salon tan etc etc.  She is no longer the Kate I enjoyed watching.

Jon and Kate have changed, everyone changes over time. when America first met Jon and Kate they were still learning how to raise 8 kids. sometimes they fight, sometimes they love, and sometimes they cant find that happy medium. The media has destroyed this family as it does many people who are in some sort of spotlight. the media is the harshest, most irresponcible, most disgusting thing the world has ever seen.the media lies and does anything in its power to destroy people for mone. i dont believe jon and kate will get a divorce or are divorced because the good times are still in view i believe they are either taking a break from the show or ending the show and TLC being the great family channel that it is has allowed them to do so. both kate and jon love their family and have obviously seen that some things are more important and by continuing to do the show they are just tearing their family apart. if by chance they are getting a divorce i wish them the best and hope they stay strong and have a good relationship with one another.

I think that jon and kate should do what they think is best for their family. if its quitting the show thats ok. of its divorce thats what they thinks best. it would be extreamly sad but its their family. the media has ruined alot. they need to stop with the lies. think of the people on the cover of the magazine. i wish them and their kids best of luck. stay strong.

TLC is trying to lure is into watching the special on Monday. And with the whole "announcement" thing they are really getting that done.

Eventhough I am from the Netherlands and being unable to watch Jon & Kate on TV I have seen all the episodes at least twice (downloading is a powerful thing you know ;) ). I must say that quitting the show, while I wouldn't like it, is the best they can do. Of course the papperazzi won't be gone immediately, but maybe they can go back to a little more privacy.

Divorce is of course the other announcement that they can make. If one of them keeps living in the house with the kids and the other one is always nearby it might work out. Because then the paparazzi won't have as much to follow them for. Because most of the p-people are obviously following them to take pictures of them bickering or to photograph one of them with another love.

As long as Jon & Kate at least stay friends it might work out in the end. Those awesome kids deserve and need two parents. And because of Jon & Kate's stong passion for their kids they will definitely work it out.

This is a trainwreck! Take two losers who use fertility drugs (which almost always ends up in multiple babies) give them tons of money, make them think they are more important than they are, and then act surprised when they think they are too good for each other? Of course, the greedy Kate wantsthe show to continue, she has he sites on hotter man meat than Jon! Problem is that after the show is over, and the money dries up,and she has spent it all, what normal man would want to attach himself to an abusive, volatile, nasty *** like Kate?I saw her on a show where they were getting free solar power put in their house, but she picked, nagged and whined so much, I was waiting for the guy working on the house to tell her off! Also,she is NOT too bright! She has a gold mine in these kids, but I get the feeling she is starting to resent them forit! It's like a man who marries a rich woman and feels nonproductive. It seems like her anger is escalating with the spanking, (which was more intense than just a spanking, it looked like RAGE!) I hope to God those children are safe! We  don't need another Susan Smith! I think this woman, Kate, needs to have some psychological counselling soon, before it is too late!!

You mean Kate is not pregnant again with multiples?  On one episode she stated she wanted more kids.

I thought she was the one wearing the pants and jockey underwear!

Jon & Kate promised themeselves & God that'd they'd love & cherish eachother until death do them part. They even restated the vows in Hawaii with their 8 kids. How horrible? It's the kids that will suffer the consquences

I absolutely love the  show!!! I just that Jon has become bored and doesn't know what it is that he is after at this point in his life. I believe that they have both been through alot. I also am a fime believer that if a divorce is the only option after careful determination then so be it. The family will get through this it will take time but they will. Those kids are truely loved!!! All the public sees is what the media wants them to see!!! So, we have to realize that. I love Kate & Jon both and believe that they will get through these tough times for their kids.
