I'm not sure whether it’s convenient timing or a higher power working for this former couple but I’m ready to bet my summer wardrobe on the fact that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are getting back together.
My reasoning doesn’t just stem from an unhealthy obsession I’ve garnered for the former couple since watching them in their hit series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, but from hard facts and unbelievable timing that prove that these two are ready to fall back in love.
There’s no denying that the timing of Nick and Vanessa Minnillo’s breakup and Jessica and Tony’s breakup are a little odd. Both couples had been dating for well over a year and a half and both couples decided to part ways within a three-week period.
And while I don’t claim to know every aspect of their lives (just 98 percent), I'm pretty sure I have this real-life scenario pegged to a tee.
Here’s how I think everything went down:
Nick finally gets fed up with Vanessa’s whorish behaviour and kicks her to the curb. Simple enough. Meanwhile, Jessica starts thinking to herself how she made so many mistakes and wishes she could make things right with Nick. Tony begins to realize what’s going through Jessica’s head and starts asking her whether she wishes she was still with Nick. Jessica, who, after all this time still hasn’t learned to filter her thoughts, tells Tony she thinks she may have made a mistake but isn't completely sure. She’s probably confused. Either way, Tony gets fed up with Jessica’s obsession with Nick and dumps her the day before her birthday because he’s so angry that she still has feelings for Nick after all this time. Jessica plays the victim all the while knowing she plans to run right back into Nick's arms where she belongs.
See, there’s simply no other explanation as to why Tony would dump Jessica the day before her birthday.
I realize it’s a little creepy how obsessed I am with Nick and Jessica’s relationship but it’s been like this for years, it’s not going to change now.
That’s my story and I'm sticking to it...unless you have a better explanation as to why they broke up, of course...
