I was glued to the TV set all season! I really had wanted Jillian to pick Kiptyn because I thought their energy and zest for life was much more aligned than her and Ed. I sometimes thought Ed has a bit of a “too hallmark” card aura to him. Everything sounded too perfect and too rehearsed. Though in the end the show was awesome, lots of surprises and shockers. Hello, WES!?

Lori I hope you are correct because I am getting tired of the way the show has ended the last two times. I think I am going to stop watching because the director is allowing this to happen!!! I think if someone leaves the show why would you let them back on. Also if she boots someone he should also not be able to return, stick to your guns and move on. I see why all these people are single they can't make a decision. Get a life people!!!!!

Jake should be the next Bachelor, then Kiptyn and then Reid.

I love Ed! I think he is the perfect choice...Sometimes people need to take a step back to figure out what they want. By Ed leaving, it was a chance for Jillian and Ed both to realize they are supposed to be together..

Surely they can reformat the ending of this program to allow the Bachelors/Bachelorettes a few weeks with each of their last choices so there is a better chance of knowing whether they would work in the real world and there won't be more Melissa/Jason/Molly fiascos. I know people get caught up in the drama but we have only 1 Happily Ever After with Trista and Ryan - pitiful unhappy outcomes...surely viewers are hoping for more happing endings.

I was more than disappointed, I have thought the entire season that her relationship with Reid was more in tune with what a marriage can be based on, this is 27 yrs of experiencing speaking here.  Atlhough she had chemistry with Kiptyn (who wouldn't w/ that bod), and even though I did like him more last night, the stars still pointed to Reid.  I see Ed as a very passive partner, he'll go back into work mode, won't help w/ the kids, she'll wear the pants in that relationship and unhappily so.  

That this show is popular evidences two unmistakable things: (1) Most people are content to live their lives through the experiences of other people rather than taking and making the effort to pursue what they want out of this life for themselves and (2) those same people are not capable of distinguishing between an obviously contrived show and the ridiculous concept of finding love while dating numerous people and having intimate encounters with a television camera in your face.  This is both funny and sad at the same time.  Funny because it so obvious and nobody cares to use their brain to think about it.  Sad because it shows that there is something truly missing in people's lives that they look to this show for some value and meaning.  This isn't chocolate, this is two hours a week of your life being spent on empty, scripted and over-produced drama.

Well said, Ready . . . This particular series with Jilliam made Jason look smarter and smarter!  And what's this about Melissa on ATR - she returned to her boyfriend of 3 years . . . talk about scripting!  Melissa's "peerants" didn't want the "publicness" of being on Bachelor but along with Melissa's boyfriend were quite public on DWTS.  Scripting?  Well said, Ready!  So . . . did Jillian choose the right person?  I don't care because the good ones got loose!

Oh, I hope you're right!! I live in Chicago and KNOW that Ed had a girlfriend when he went on the show, so I really hope that Jillian found him out and got a second (third?) chance with Reid!

well if you are right about ed having a girlfriend then jillian really did make a way bad choice and she needs someone else in her life and to dump ed. she should of known he had a girlfriend all along.

It wont matter who she ends up with because the entire premise of the show is false and has no substance.  How can you build a life with someone when you are constantly being taken on all-expenses-paid dates that you can never live up to again?  How can you build the all-important chemistry and intimacy when you know the other person has been intimate with a number of other people?  How can you fall in love with someone who seems to be falling in love with numerous other people?  This is a television show.  It's not real.  There's no escaping the results of all the previous editions.  The people are not real potential life partners, they are "contestants" or "candidates".  This show is an embarrassment.  The producers are going to have to come up with something different because this show is on borrowed time.  Jillian will end up with no one because love cannot be manufactured, edited or scripted.  If you look deeper you find out that many of the people on the show are offered money to appear or are told to "act" a certain way.  If you take the show for what it is, fine.  If not, don't be fooled into thinking it is in any way a legitimate love story.

The producers know all about the men on the show and their backgrounds.  That they allow men with girlfriends to appear is a testament to the fact that this show is manufactured and not real.  Ready got it right.  Why do we watch??  Are we really that pathetic?  What does it say about our own lives?  I am afraid of the answers, I guess.

Hey atl and sunny, maybe a little dose of reality is what you people need.  Ready pretty much sums up what a lot of people think about this show and its audience.  It's not really a waste of time when someone else seems to sum up what should be apparent about this show.  Good on you Ready!

Hey sunny, did you know that "perfect" Jake is actually a part-time actor who got paid close to $50,000 to appear on the show?  Did you know that Kiptyn was already tapped to be the next Bachelor before he even appeared on episode #1?

well Lacey if you are correct I am finished with this show. Paid actors. So even if she picked Kiptyn she would still be S.O.L He is one good actor as well.

I have it on good authority that Jillian and Ed are no longer together and that she will indeed ask Reid to be with her but that he has since met someone and is pursuing a relationship with her.  Kiptyn is the next bachelor.

Arrrgh,  I was never a fan of Ed.  Too fakey and blah.  I was rooting for Reid.  I was a fan of Jake at first but man towards the end... WAY too goody goody, straight arrow and nice.  Untuck your shirt for crying out loud!  HE would make a boring bachelor.

Last nights show left me frusterated!!

If you watch closely you can see the tell signs of a woman who can't see the truth even if the elephant was sitting on her!!

First, Wes, David, and Tanner were all complete morons!

Second, wasn't it Obvious when Ed high tailed it once Tanner brought up the g/f situation??? Or when Gill met Ed's parents and the mom wasn't too pleased that Ed was making such a quick "out of character" decision to marry Gill- it was written all over her face! Ed was way to desperate, wonder why??

Third, any guy with a head on his shoulders would think "this woman is nuts, why the heck am I sitting here with all these freaks?" Reid & Kiptyn?

Some of you are wrong.

Ed and Jillian were out last night ( pictures surfaced this morning - Juan was even there(odd)). And they are happy and still together. If Ed did have a girlfriend, he doesn't now. :) And most people were sort of seeing people- since it takes a while for casting to be complete.

Oh, and Jake (or anyone else) wasn't paid to be on the show. And if he's an actor- he should drop that gig, I didn't think his acting was very good. LOL

There is a reason this show is so addictive.  It's too good to be true.  All the twists and turns are scripted and well-crafted in advance.  Everybody knows that real life is not this interesting.  The producers are television executives that know what the public wants and they spin it whatever way they have to in order to arrive at the ratings destination.  With that being said, there will be some big changes in the next few series because the ratings have slipped and people are doubting the legitimacy of the story.  I watch it because it is entertainment.  I understand Ready's point but I will still watch the show for the pure entertainment.  I know it's fake but it still is fun.

If Ed had a girlfriend and she does end up chooseing Reid, I will never watch this show again because then it would be the ultimate joke.

Samantha, you should do a little digging on the internet.  Lots of the "cast" are paid to be there.  In fact some guys have turned down $50,000 because they feel it could damage their reputation.  Look for it.  It's all there to be found.

Who cares!  We all know this show if full of twists and turns and fun and heartbreak.  But it's like crack for all of us, we just can't get enough.  I tell myself every single time that I'm not watching again because they always make the wrong decision in the end....but I get so excited when the next season rolls around.  It's so pathetic that I think I'll take it beyond ridiculous and watch "More to Love" cuz it's the same old crap that we all slap our wrists for!  LOL!

I woudn't mind a bit if Ed has a girlfriend. I never trusted him. Did anyone notice that his story changed from the time he left to the time he met Jillian's parents? He told Jillian that his boss called and he had to come back or his job was over. He told parents that he took some time away and then couldn't get her out of his head.  BS! The only person who is perfect for her is Reid You can trust him, he is funny, and he must think a lot of her to come back. I had head for a long time that Kiptyn would be the next Bachelor.  I say choose Reid!

Jillian picked Ed because he seemed to be the safest bet.  I think she wanted to be the first girl ever to dump Kiptyn.  And I think in real life she may have picked Reid but she kind of change and became more sensitive to appearances and needed Ed to show with his overpriced ring in his fancy suit then go with the real guy who flew back on his own & took a taxi to get there just in time in his sneakers and messy outfit with a much smaller ring.  Jillian, you changed throughout the season kind of into a Deeana-like monster.  You started out real & just got very impressed with yourself, taken with all the attention and press and your head blew way out of proportion.  Enjoy Ed and your fame for the short time it lasts. Kiptyn & Reid, be glad you got out of there unscathed.

I really was hoping for a Reid/Jillian matchup, but I guess it's not gonna happen.  If these pictures are surfacing...then I guess her and Ed are still together...although I don't get it...but I think that's the way love it...it defies all the rules and who we think we should be with...I hope she is happy and this relationship actually lasts!

I am hoping that tonight Jillian is alone and Reid hops out. I did not like Ed at all. Ne was not honest-he told Jillian that he had to leave because his boss said he would lose his job if he didn't come back, and he told her parents that he left to clear his head, but he couldn't get Jillian out of his head. Kiptyn will be the next Bachelor. Reid was honest and funny and it took a lot of guts to come back. Remember in Spain when he met Jillian, and she asked him what he wanted to do? He said, "Make Out!" Then the first night when Jillian said no to the fantasy sweet, he said, but I have MY key! He would be faithful and an all around great guy - Ed's a loser.

The fact that you all keep writing your thoughts and feedback about what happened on the show last night, and what will happen on the after the rose show is all to the delight to the directors/producers of the show.  Mission accomplished-You'll all still watch next season.

I think Michael should be the next Bachelor, & I'm hoping Jillian & Ed are no longer together, I was not impressed with the result of the show, I don't think Ed should of been allowed to come back, he left her for work, so obviously work is more important, & in my opinion, that's what it will always be like. I see a lot of you place success of a marriage or relationship on SEX!  How false is your thinking ... Jillian is way above that kind of ignorant  thinking... Its important but everyone at some time for what ever reason is not able to preform. Looks like the last time they spent the night together he must have done SUPER  ... he got the last ROSE !

I was rooting for Reid all along but frankly, Jill was starting to irritate me and I am now thinking she is not good enough for Reid. Kypton is too predictably perfect, the green short shorts and tendency to pink and cream colors made we wonder if Ed might have a boyfriend back home.........I say send Jill back to Vancouver where she can find a good ol' canadian redneck and let's root for Reid as the next Bachelor (does he remind anyone of Chandler from Friends?)
