Last night’s special of The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose was boring, uneventful and, at times, painful to watch. Not only did the follow-up episode not add any new details to the lives of any of the contestants (other than Jillian and Ed) but they also revealed that a new Bachelor has not been chosen.

Generally (with the exception of last season’s dramatic After the Final Rose) the point of the special episode is to lure fans into watching the next season by revealing the new bachelor/bachelorette. Well, not this time. As host Chris Harrison explained last night, if you want to have a say in who becomes the next bachelor, you’ll have to go to ABC.com to vote.
The good news is that it seems like the next man to hold the title of Bachelor will be someone from this season. From the comments we’ve received from recent posts, it seems as though Michael Stag is a front-runner to win. Kiptyn was also a favorite but many fans feel as though Kiptyn isn’t fully over his heartbreak.
Other than the news that no Bachelor has been determined, last night’s ATFR was extremely dull. Jillian and Ed spent most of their time trying desperately to convince viewers that they were truly in love.
Regardless of how many little kisses Ed gave Jill last night, we’re pretty sure this relationship won’t last more than 6 months. Hey, that’s more than most of the previous season’s couples, right?
